My DH and I are going to Dis in January 2007. This is a belated 25th wedding anniversary trip. I read somewhere on the boards - a long time ago - that there is a restaurant/ hotel where you can renew your vows. I would love to arrange this as a surprise, as 8 of my family are also going. Can someone tell me where it is? :bride: :groom:

Im not exactly sure I could answer your question, but there is a weddings and honeymoons forum on the Disboards. You may want to post this in there and I am sure someone will be able to help! Congratulations on your 25th anniversary. I am getting married in January at WDW! Maybe we'll see you there! Good Luck finding your answer!

just have to ask - who are you surprising? Are you planning on suprising your DH that the two you are renewing your vows?

You used to be able to do the fun Rehitchin Ceremony at the Garden Grille in The Land at Epcot. They discontinued it some time ago. I don't know why, it sounded so cute and fun!
Maybe that's the one you're thinking of.

If you want to fork out the big bucks you can have your vows renewed by Disney in an elegant and official way!

Congratulations to you both! :bride: :groom:
I've spent the last month trying to find something nice to do for our 5th Anniversary to surprise my DH too. I booked the fireworks cruise and requested champagne and chocolate covered strawberries brought to the boat. That's the only surprise I could come up with.

Yes, I would like to surprise him - we have often talked about doing it and this would be an ideal opportunity.

That was it!!! The rehitching ceremony - oh well, I can't afford to go big bucks, with coming from UK the holiday is expensive enough - never mind. I might look into your idea though, it sounds lovely. I hope you have a wonderful time. :yay:

Isn't there a wedding chapel or gazebo area at the Grand Floridian for people to get married at?

Yes, the Wedding Pavilion is on the grounds of the Grand Floridian...but you must go through Disney's Fairy Tale Weddings department to use it.

I notice you are planning a wedding too...are you planning a honeymoon in Disney?
