Hi there
We're thinking of re-newing our vows during a trip to Disney, with our DD (7), next year
Does anyone have any experience of doing this?
I was looking through the Virgin Holidays Brochure and noticed some ceremonies at the beach - ClearWater in particular as we were there this February and had a great time :cloud9: The Hilton apparently does a ceremony.
Any advice would be much appreciated.
We married almost 7 years ago and always said that we would renew our vows after 5 years (DH has a brain tumour so we tend to concentrate on small time scales, rather than large :lovestruc )
As Florida is one of our favourite places I suddenly had a brainwave about making next years holiday extra special - just not too sure the best way to go now :confused3
Thank you.

I think it’s a wonderful idea! DH and I hope to renew our vows one day as well. As far as Disney vow renewals go, they offer two basic types of vow renewals: Intimate and Custom. The Intimate Vow Renewals are much more affordable, but there is a small guest limit and your options are more limited. With a Custom Vow Renewal, you can do whatever you want, but it is more costly. Visit www.disneyweddings.com, and you’ll find lots of helpful information about vow renewals. Happy planning!

Thanks for the link :goodvibes .
It all looks a little pricey tho :guilty:
I think there'll only be the 3 of us (myself, DH and DD) so the intimate renewals would be cool :)
Looking at the UK, Virgin Holiday brochure, we could arrange for our renewal at the Hilton in Clearwater for around £175. Just not too sure whether anyone has a positive experience of this.
Maybe, if we win the lottery, we can go for the 'proper' Disney experience - wouldn't that be fantastic? :cloud9: :cloud9: Obviously, being in the UK, we have to budget for flights, hotels etc on top of the vow fees :sunny:
Good luck with your own plans

Alison,
If you still wanted to be closer to Disney and renew yours vows in Orlando, there are many options without going with a Disney vow renewal. Here is the place that we are using.

Posted this before and this is what we are doing.

We had planned on doing a Disney vow renewal, but decided against it because of the cost and value. Instead, we are staying at the Grand Floridian Sugar Loaf Concierge, but having the ceremony off Disney property. Our ceremony will be at Leu Gardens @ 11:30 AM. After the ceremony, we are having tea at the Garden View Lounge at the GF, followed later by a dinner at Citricos. It will be just the 5 of us(DH, DS-15, DD-14 & DD-3). I estimate that the cost of the minister(Rev. Tim), photographer(Randy Chapman), flowers(Wedding Flowers by Blossom), facility rental fee(for Leu Gardens) tea, dinner and wedding cake will be approximately $1450.00. This of course does not include the room at Gf, dress or tuxes, shoes, hair and make-up by Disney Cosmetology.
I booked everything individually myself. It is much cheaper that way, rather than working with a planner.
This was the right choice for us and for our budget.
Good luck to you whatever you decide!!
Kerri
