Renew vows

Just starting to plan trip to the world for next spring to renew wedding vows. It will be our 20th anniversary. We stayed at the Poly on our honeymoon and are planning to stay there this trip. Any tips or suggestions to make this an extra magical trip?

They have a Private Dining department (i.e., room service) but no formalized special event services the way the Grand Floridian does, unfortunately. The best you could do is have a meal delivered and served on your room's patio or balcony.

In the process of planning our 20th VR in Sept 2015 at Polynesian. Has anyone ever created a Honeymoon Registry for a Vow Renewal? I am not sure if it is proper to send this out to our family and friends. We are only doing the Memories package so it will be just us and our 2 girls.

We did not for our vow renewal. We felt that gifts (and by extension, a honeymoon registry) should be reserved for couples just starting out in life, not old marrieds like us! Plus, if you're not inviting any guests, it's considered bad etiquette to still send people registry info.

I haven't ever heard about the IllumiNations dessert party, but it looks very amazing. Congratulations on your anniversary! Disney always does beautifully on their ceremonies, so I am sure you won't be disappointed. Did you have any other reason why you chose the poly besides it's where you had your honeymoon? I am thinking about staying there on my next trip.
