Renew or not renew PAP, That is the question

My Premium Annual Pass is set to expire on Sept 11, 2005.

Our next planned trip is in May 2006.

Should i spend the $500 and renew my PAP now, having it expire in sept 2006, or just buy a brand new one for $550 and activate it when we arrive and that one will expire then in May 2007??

I would love to go again before May, but dont think my wife can get the time off to go on a quick trip. No guarantee, but probably wont go before May.

What should i do, i only have 12 days to decide before it expires!!

Since there is only a $50.00 difference then I would just wait to purchase new ones until the next time you went. Why have one sitting around that will expire in sept when you can have one all the way until may 07. Even if you waited a few months ans decieded to make a quick trip etc it would probably still work out better to purchase then. Thats just my thoughts of course.

I would wait until the next trip to buy a new pass, AP or otherwise.

Statistically if it is more than 36 days until your next Disney vacation it is better to let the old AP lapse and buy another one when you get there.

Every ticket buying strategy depends on planning a vacation schedule first.
