I just saw a package online for the Renaissance Seaworld that includes the following:
3 nights accommodations, 2 adult and 2 children (ages 3-9) for only $651 plus tax.
This sounds so cheap for the area. The hotel looks quite nice though.
Anyone familiar with it? Is it cheap because the hotel is not so nice as others?
Thank you!!

The Renaissance Orlando Resort at Sea World just completed a major 31 million rehab, so it should be very nice. Very short walk across the street to Sea World. The resort offers a lot of convenience. Hard to gauge the package price, since this resort raises and lowers its prices without notice. Sea World also can give some great deals too. We have this resort booked for a series of nights before we head over to Disney and just cancelled our existing reservation once I secured the same thing under a new reservation saving over $210. Glad I got the deal, but a little disappointed in the Renaissance for not "taking care of our family" who booked with them many months in advance.

What do you mean? Do you think the should automatically lower the price when it goes down? I've never had any hotel do this for me, have you? I could see if you use a travel agent, but I don't think the hotels keep track of prices changes and notify you if a cheaper rate comes up. Maybe I just missed what you mean.

Also, how did you save $210? I'm booked there for xmas on a package and am curious where I should look for cheaper rates. I booked thru seaworlds website.

Thanks!

I don't like industries where there is great disparity in pricing for the same service or product...so I was venting a little as you might expect if you find you were paying $210+ more. I did not use the package since we want a specific room class. We also were able to find the room at an exceptionally low rate ($80 lower per night than originally provided) and bought SW/BG tickets from the NRA-ILA for $25 each.

Directly from Marriott. You need to keep on checking their Internet site to see what they are charging. Also you might consider joining the Marriott Rewards program, since it provides nation wide alerts to discounted rates at their resorts. This week I received notice to room price discounts for this resort for the period of August 2-6 ranging from 120-180 per night.
