Just A Tip, If You Want To Find A Really Nice Hotel, Go To The Renaissance

Its In Orlando DIRECTLY Across The Street From Seaworld And Not Even 10 Minutes From Disney!

Its A BEAUTIFUL Hotel. Friendly People, Clean Rooms, Comfy Beds.

My mom just stayed there last week. She said that the hotel was very nice; however, they wished they had stayed elsewhere because there was no laundry facility at the hotel (they had to use the hotel next door). This is not a big deal but she had been in Florida over a week and needed to use the laundry.

Also, there was no real way to get breakfast in the hotel without spending $$$$$$. So, they had to go out to McDonalds in the morning. My mom kind of booked the place on a whim and didn't research it. Otherwise, she said the rooms were large and very nice.

We are planning on a trip to SW & Universal (and maybe one day at MK) in 2010. I was looking at some hotels near SW, which is the area we prefer to stay. I was debating towards the Renaissance or the new Marriotts (Fairfield or SpringHill) near SW. Sea World's website has vacation offers for all three. The bonus for the smaller Marriotts is the free breakfast. Are there any restaurants near the Renaissance for breakfast?

I know it's close to SW but walkable to get there?

Does the public transit go by the hotel?

We won't have a car so will need to catch it to get to US/IoA on 2 days.

SeaWorld is walkable - Aquatica is a long walk, they have a shuttle for Discovery cove.

there is a Lynx and I-RIDE stop in front of the hotel, so transportation is easy.

I know the renaissance has some breakfast packages and kids eat free with paid adult rates -

We're heading there in Dec so won't be going to Aquatica and have no interest in DC. Great to know we can walk to SW, and on other days use transit for US.

I'll take a closer look at the pkgs. Just the two of us so we're the ones subsidzing the kids

We also stayed there 2 weeks ago and absolutely loved the hotel,except the fact they didnt have laundry facilities too.We had gotten absolutely soaked and our clothes needed washed badly. It was beautiful and my kids loved the Starbucks. We would definitely stay again.We did walk to Sea World 2 of our 3 days there and it really isnt that far.

There Is A Breakfast Resturaunt In The Hotel, Most Amazing Breakfast Buffet EVER.

DD9, DS13 and I stayed there in July 08. We absolutely loved the room and the pool. The room was huge and had nice comfy beds. DS13 really enjoyed the arcade. They had a fridge in the room.

The pool was fantastic, we had a great time.

The breakfast at the place, well, not so much. We ate at their Buffet and with both the kids only eating plain scrambled eggs it wasn't worth the money. They didn't have bacon and my kids won't eat sausage.

We discovered the Starbucks there and got muffins for breakfast the next morning.

Walking to SeaWorld is easy but you do have to cross the street carefully and walk through the SeaWorld parking lot. Be sure to watch for cars since they don't watch out for you!

Now that I know about their not very great and expensive buffet, I would plan some quick breakfast food. I would stay there again for a couple of days but not for a full week.
