Remy Single Rider open

I would not have wanted to be the poor SR who had to be forced into the car with the 2 who didn’t want to share the car. What an awful ride that must have been.

Unfortunately, the mouse vehicles are cut very small… fitting 3 adults into any one vehicle gets problematic the minute you are dealing with anyone of size, tall, wide or both. Hopefully the CM’s will be trained to exercise a modicum of discretion and common sense in implementing SR. Otherwise this has the potential to get very ugly, very fast.

BTW, I am usually solo and often share my ride vehicle so this isn’t an issue for me… not that I want to share my doombuggy or flying ship on PP… but I have shared a mouse car on Remy before. 2 people is fine but I think 3 is asking for problems. YMMV
Hmmm...I agree I don't have an issue with single rider when there are actual assigned/partitioned off. I am definitely NOT in favor of this though. 3 adults (1 being a stranger, no thank you.) If there's only 2 adults then ok, but not 3...interesting.

I feel like in a vehicle without separate seats, they need to respect the wishes of someone who waited in the line and does not want a single rider in their vehicle if there is not adequate space. I have been on a ride with one long bench where I am too close for comfort to a man that I don't know and spent the time bracing myself in my space. It would be worse in a small seat where you don't expect to have to share beyond your party. I am sure there are some people who would find it legitimately traumatic, so I hope they're trained to sense that and respect people's needs.

I wish they put singles together on Midway Mania. The game is so much easier when you have a partner. Met and got talking to a family of 3 the other day in line. When we got to the CM the Dad said four and I rode with him and got my best score ever by a wide margin.
They used to do this with singles at Disneyland and it was unpopular. It's one thing if you can even slightly know the other person, or if you're outgoing and want to engage with someone else. But a lot of shy people actively hated it (myself included). Some people really aren't comfortable playing against a rando.

Plus, a variance of skill level between players can ruin it for either or both. It screws up high score opportunities for people who know what the tricks are - if you have a novice with you, and they're just randomly hitting things, it just hurts your score.

Personally, I'd rather see one of the fansites put together a player meet-up spot so that interested people can get in line together and challenge each other if they're interested in that kind of opportunity.

Perhaps the CM should load the single rider first. If someone is traumatized by sitting next to a 62 year old grandma, let them wait for the next one!
I think that'd be totally fine (logistically seems inefficient though); I think 99% of ppl. who didn't feel comfortable sitting/touching a stranger for a ride wouldn't have an issue with this.

Anyone know if they will let us squeeze 4 into a row if it's 2 adults and 2 small children ages 9 & 5? I'd really rather do that then be smushed next to strangers.
You likely won’t be smushed. Remy is really not that tight. If no SR are waiting you may be seated two and two or three and two (less likely) with another party of two with you.

Reporting from Epcot as of 9:30 am on Friday 12/6 - Remy single rider was closed for capacity as of 9:30 am with a 65 minute standby wait. The CM out front claimed the wait was as long as standby - not sure I buy that but oh well.
Replying to myelf with a quick update. The SR line was back up around 10:30 am with a standby wait of 50 minutes. We waited about 35 in SR.

Thanks for these valuable data points! Since the SR line is new, most reports had been near walk-on. It’s good to know other times can happen too so that people can better evaluate the line and decide if it works for them.

E.g. we are a party of two that will choose SR and split up if the wait is greatly reduced. TT has been a great example of this in the past.

Ooh, I'm kinda excited about this! I'm always looking for SL opportunities at Disney. Not sure when I'll be going to Epcot next week but definitely will give it a try.

Remy was posted at 55 minutes today at 11, single rider was a literal walk on. The 2 women I was put with didn’t seem to mind, what was odd was that the back row of our rat went out empty. Had a few stops and starts, some effects didn’t seem to be working quite right.

This was a one off experience for me as I never had anything else come close -

We were party of 3 for RotR. They added a single rider to our back row. That guy was well over 6’3” and 300lbs. He appeared perfectly clean but covered in sweat head to toe and heavy BO. Every square inch of skin and clothes drenched in sweat. He had no choice but to physically overlap about 25% into my seat. 17 minute ride - it distracted me the entire time. I scooched over and smooshed my family on the other side. Didn’t help. I still exited the ride soaked from another person’s sweat. I don’t even let my own husband do that to me lol.

I’m all for single riders but there needs to be some common sense with this. He should’ve been loaded in a mouse in a row to himself. Sounds like it was a miserable ride🫤

I don't have feedback on quite this exact scenario, but wanted to share that we rode last week as a party of 7 (3 adults, 4 kids ages 8-10) and they assigned us to one vehicle and the 4 kids rode in a row together.
So, 4 in a row is certainly not a hard no.
