Remy shoes?

i have been to Remy twice and both times I have worn a heal but the top part was more sandal like. I did not realize they were sandal like until a friend commented on them. I know sandals are not allowed. Would you all consider this a sandal? Yes it's considered a sandal in zappos so maybe I am answering my own question but what do you all think and for you women out there what shoes do you wear?

Also would a wedge be considered a sandal? My stepdaughter wants to know.

No, I personally would not consider those a sandal, in reference to appropriate shoes for a dressy dinner. I'm thinking more flip flops, Birkenstocks, Tevas, etc... Things most people would wear to the pool or the beach.

ETA: I think it would depend on the wedge, but they would probably be fine?

I would consider it a sandal as it has open toes. To me any shoe where you see toes is a sandal.

Those are fine they mean flip flops/ beach shoes. A wedge is also fine. I would side eye a wedge flip flop. THEY ARE OUT THERE!!!

You should be fine. The rule is there to stop things like pool flip flops. In other words they want people to dress up for the occasion. The podium people at Palo/Remy are most often female and have an eye for women's fashion. If it looks good you are good to go.

I agree it's debatable. For dress codes, our practice has always been to think that if there's a question, then just don't wear it. That way you will have ZERO concern about how they might react when you arrive. Although you may get reassurance on this forum that all is probably okay, you still will have that little concern in the back of your mind leading up to the meal. Why have that? You should look forward to Remy with relish, with every second leading up to it being one of happy anticipation, not a nagging concern that your dress might not meet their standards. Are you okay? Probably! But still...

Those are definitely going to be considered as a dressy shoe (I love them!), not a sandal that you would wear to the pool or beach which is what they don't want. I wore a strappy gold heeled sandal to Remy.

The dress code does not mandate for closed toe shoes so I am sure this is perfectly fine.

Those are dress shoes- you will be fine. Sandals they refer to are ones you would wear to the beach/very casual.

I'd consider that a "strappy heel" rather than a casual sandal. I wore something similar to Remy.
