Remy, Palo, California Grill Brunch or something else as my treat meal?

I am traveling to WDW in November and also doing a 4 night cruise on the Dream. I’m trying to decide the best options for a treat meal.

About me: I’m vegetarian (definitely no fish!), rarely drink so alcohol inclusions are a waste and will be doing this meal solo. I’m an experienced solo traveller so that doesn’t make much difference except that I don’t have to worry about someone else’s preferences.

I’ve done Palo brunch once on the Magic and Palo dinner on the Magic and the Fantasy previously. When I was on the Fantasy I also did the Remy dessert experience which was amazing. I loved the thought they put into the experience. I’ve eaten at California Grill and Yachtsman Steakhouse (they have truffle Mac n cheese which is a favourite so I made do as a vegetarian in a steak restaurant). I’ve decided not to do any other signature restaurants this trip but maybe one of the brunch experiences or a specialty dining on the cruise. I’m travelling for a while so can only really afford one option and I don’t know which to choose. It’s unlikely this will be my last opportunity for any of these experiences but I may be a few years before the next chance.

Which would you suggest? If I don’t go for one of the cruise options since 4 days is such a short cruise and this is my first time on the Dream, is there something other than the California Grill brunch I should be considering? I’ve heard a few other signature restaurants do brunch. Or is Remy so amazing that even as a vegetarian I should hold that one above all the others and do a meal there (brunch or dinner?)?

Thanks

I would suggest dinner at Remy, especially since you've not done it, and since you enjoyed the dessert experience. For us, Remy is the best Disney dining experience land or sea (even above Victoria & Albert's - we've had 3 dinners there and 7 at Remy, so believe we can make a fair comparison). The advantage to Remy dinner over brunch is that there are far more choices at dinner, and the chefs love to create additional dishes not on the menu for those with special dietary requests.

I second the vote for Remy. I went solo a couple years ago aboard the Dream and it was incredible! The service was impeccable, the food absolutely divine and the ambiance was unexpectedly relaxing. I’ve booked Remy brunch for my upcoming cruise in September, but I’ve been toying with the idea of changing it to dinner instead. So wonderful! :cloud9:

So it sounds like Remy is the best, guessing even better than a signature restaurant brunch while at WDW?

I've done almost all the meals you've listed (haven't tried Palo Brunch yet). I think Remy would be a really nice experience, you mention to them that you're a vegetarian. I know at Victoria and Albert's they'll have a menu for vegetarians so I'm sure Remy is the same. You've already tried Palo so I feel like trying something new would be good. I personally love California Grill Brunch, but if you don't eat any fish your options can be a little limited. They have a lot of sushi to choose from. I took my parents there, they are mostly vegetarian, but they do eat fish. They really enjoyed the restaurant and definitely didn't leave hungry. It's only available on a Sunday though, so you'd have to plan your trip to fit that. If you want to read a review of the restaurant I did one in my dining report, link is in my signature

Thanks for all you’re advice. I’m booked Remy for pirate night although every possibility I may change my mind later and go with a WDW option since the cruise is only 4 nights and I’m staying at WDW much longer.
