Has anyone done this? Is it worth doing? How often is it offered on a 7 day cruise?

I've not done it, but have it booked on our 7 Day Fantasy Western Caribbean in April. It was offered Thursday (final sea day) from 3:30 - 5:00.

We did it on our Eastern Caribbean cruise back in March and it was lovely, 5-6 dessert dishes and a nice balance of different types of flavors. It's only done once on the cruise and is a fairly small seating group so it's pretty intimate. The wine pairings were also a nice touch if you like champagne/dessert wines.

One of my favorite parts was that the chef came out with each round and talked about each dish, told stories, and interacted with each table. I got to have a discussion with him about various methods of making caramel which was really fun.

Thanks so much! Exactly the type of info I was looking for

Agree! Just experienced this event on 31 Dec 2015. We had six desserts and the chef provided interesting details about the creation and background of the desserts. Definitely worth doing at least once.

Does anyone know the dress code for this event? How dressed up or not dressed up do people get?

We enjoyed it so much when we did it.
There is a dress code. A man in our group was sent back to his room to change the t-shirt he had on.
My husband wore slacks and a button down shirt, I wore a sundress.

Enjoy!

Here are the first 4 desserts from our event in November '15. Unfortunately, I have to menu at home and can't access the names since I am traveling abroad. These were all amazingly delicious and, just as importantly since we had Palo brunch the same day, very light. It was really nice, relaxed, and fun. The fifth dessert was all chocolate and way too heavy for my taste, and the last one was the same recipe as the chocolate dessert that's part of Remy's French dinner menu. I'd recommend this as it is very distinct from all the other dining options that Remy and Palo offer.

This sounds fun. Is there anything else special about it for $50? I don't over eat on cruise. I think if I went to an expensive dessert party, I'd skip lunch or dinner. So, wondering if there is anything else there besides desserts.
