I guess i was a super doofas cause i thought it was the face character Remy that came around to the table at certain times...but i just learned that the "little chef" statue that i have seen in peoples pictures is the Remy that joins you at dinner. please don't judge me:sad2: LOL

So anyway i wondered what he did...i am going to try to look it up on you tube...but i knew you fine ladies and gents could give me some incite :D

Thanks so much!
Danielle

A CM that is Remys keeper as it be, brings him to your table on a covered serving tray. He talks with you and prompts Remy to squeak and react with you. Its pretty cool!

1) REMY is an auto-animatronic figure.
2) He is small and "hides" under a chrome food dome.
3) On queue, he is uncovered and interacts with the table.
4) Cute.

Remy squeaked what sounded like "thank you" when my kids told him they loved his movie. When I took a picture, he squeaked what sounded like "cheese" He doesn't actually say the words but he squeaks responses to what you say to him. It is very cute, we love him! DD wanted to take him home in her pocket.

ok so it is worth keeping the ADR...i figuer my DD3 will love it and DD18m will want to chew on his head :rotfl:

Is Remy at lunch or dinner? We have dinner ADRs and I would love to see him.

Remy begins his rounds at 12:30, 1:40, 2:50 and 5:20 Monday through Saturday.

I recommend that you make your reservation no later than half an hour before the scheduled start of one of his rounds because you must be seated when he comes to your table. If the restaurant is seating late, or you are in the process of being seated or you are away from your table (eg in the bathroom), you will miss him and he won't come back.

Remy is a highly sophisticated audio animatronic figure that could break down unexpectedly so there is no guarantee that he will appear. If you have young children I would not promise that they will see him, but just let his visit be a surprise.

Just an FYI Remy doesn't always make an appearence even though he may be scheduled to.

In Dec. we had a woman & child sitting behind us (the tables are very close together in most of the restaurant) who were very vocal about being upset that the only reason they came there was to see Remy and that they never would have made a reservation if they knew he wouldn't be there.

It is not a given that Remy will show so it is probably best to plan to eat there if eating there is your main reason for going and if Remy does appear then that is a great bonus...just to avoid the disappointment experienced by the people near us.

DH and I enjoyed our meal there but we didn't have children w/us so I can't speak to how the dining experience is for children.

Happy dining!

Last May, my daughter told me that when he didn't appear on time, most of the people having lunch started chanting "Bring out the rat." He came out shortly thereafter.

bring out the rat...that is silly!

Yeah i don't think i will tell DD just in case...and i might even just ask at the door if he will be there...otherwise we can find somewhere else to eat too....epcot OH THE POSSIBILITIES!

One time when we were waiting for our table someone approached the podium and asked. The answer they were given was "We hope so."

I know a person posted here that one time Remy had to leave in the middle of one of his rounds so there's never a guarantee that you will see him. For the record, we've seen him on all 5 of our visits.

Good luck!

Remy is very cute, but his handler definitely steals the show! He was hysterical!

Even if you don't manage to see him, I thought the food was well worth the reservation.

I hope Remy will come back out for our anniversary dinner - we have a 7:05 PM dinner ADR. It will be our 27th anniversary.

We got to see him on our last trip. He was very realistic and the kids love him. A nice change from the larger characters.

I will also and chime in and say that the food is very good here and worth eating at if Remy is a no-show.

We had lunch at CDF but no Remy :-( I have seen the same "act" in DLP and it's so much fun!
