Remy $10 per person price increase

I was highly disappointed in the news and refuse to pay that steep of a price on our upcoming honeymoon cruise. I hardly think it worth it to pay almost $200 for a couple for dinner when it used to be $5-10 dollars a person at Palo when my family cruised and I was younger. The cost of dinner would be enough for an excursion or souvenirs and that is more worth the price in my opinion.

So true. Reminds me of paying for MNSSHP or MVMCP at WDW on top of a regular ticket. It gets to be a really expensive day at that point.
.

You don't need a park ticket. We went last week, into the park at 4pm had plenty of time to do everything we wanted before midnight. Only down side is that a couple of attractions were not open.

True. I meant with grandfathering or not. :P
I don't recall if Palo & Remy were raised at the same time, but I do recall that the last time Palo price was increased, anyone who already held a reservation (at the "old" price) only paid that much. Anyone who hadn't made their reservation at Palo yet, paid the new price.

You can't even put Palo and Remy into the same category. Not even close.

I have absolutely no doubt that Remy is great. I just do not believe it worth almost $200 for two people, hence my post. As far as Palo is concerned, I did not compare them, I only referenced the price that Palo used to be years ago compared to how Disney is pricing their dining now (regardless of the two). I think I read that Palo is now $35-40 a person, which is reasonable, however still vastly different than in the past. Remy is exceptionally steep in my opinion and wouldn't be worth it to me.

Thats a shame... since the wine pairing is far too much alcohol for me though we'll still go again at that price. I can get arguably "better" food at a restaurant at home, but the atmosphere and staff are both a big draw for us too. In my city everyone goes to dinner in jeans and t-shirts no matter how nice a place it is, so I can't really get the same feeling here.

With the wine "pours" barely over 2oz each we had no trouble with too much wine!!!
