BD-where is the rest of the report? VM cruised the week after you and he's already done. You're slacking!

Yea, but VM didn't sleep for three days either, LOL!!!

Besides, all of VM's notes were written before he even arrived home from the airport. Now if VM could only get to his many, many, many photos and get them into his Webshots account, he would be feeling much better!!!

Take it easy on "Old BD," his Buckaroo probably tired him out during their cruise. VM on the other hand is young and virile!!! And if you believe that one, I have a bridge for sale, LOL!!!

LOL Andy, I do believe you have a bridge for sale then, as I believe you are young and virile. Hear that BD. Are we going to change your name from Verandah Man to "Virile Man" LOL

I was wondering who'd catch that one
Ah, so it was a test. Glad my education finally paid off! ;)

Hey BD, maybe moinab can treat both you and VM, to a nice seafood dinner
Mayport shrimp for everyone! Side note to VM, I checked for rock shrimp the last time we were there, but, alas, they do not have it. The shrimpers dock right behind the restaurant, though, so the shrimp is as fresh as can be. Rae, will you be joining us?

Oh my goodness! I'm not sure I would have survived that whole ordeal without a mental breakdown! I'm so glad you made it on time! Can't wait to read the rest of your trip!

Wonderful writing!!
But I'm waiting to hear the rest...don't keep me in suspense any longer.

If it's shrimp, I'll be there.
Thanks for the invite!!!!

BD - where is the rest of your report?! You are the biggest tease!

Rae

WOW!! What a trip! Can't wait for more installments.

BD -

Thanks for taking your lemons and making lemonade for the rest of us. .. it was an experience of a lifetime for you and a great read for us...and you haven't even left the docks yet.

More please....

BD, as a transplanted San Franciscan in living in NC (1.5 hr from Greensboro), DD of two Boston/NYC'ers, I have been ROFLing for five minutes!! Unfortunately, Greensboro is one of our larger, more sophisticated cities, with the most to offer along I-40! I have a friend who was transplanted to Baltimore from NC (also a former NYer), and we actually have found a "back way" between DC and NC - down Highway 77 (just in case you need to make this drive again) which will put you about 15 minutes west (as the Californian drives) of the Greensboro airport.

If your career (I haven't been on the boards long enough to know if that has been shared) doesn't pan out or bores you, you would fit right in with a select group of southern writers who I have come to appreciate in my now 16 years as a transplant. You have quite a talent and it was a pleasure to read the first chapter of your report.

Aside from all the great information on these boards, your input has been delightful and a very welcome addition.

Looking forward to reading more about your trip.

This has been echoed by many others, but none have said it so eloquently.

Great trip report BD! I was at JFK that Friday and flew out to Las Vegas on Jet Blue. I agree with you that all of their employees couldn't have been paid enough to put up with the aggravation that they met with that day. They did a wonderful job and they did it with a smile. I suggest that you use them for your next cruise!

Look forward to your next report!

Hey Andy.

Next summer we are driving down, My DD is bringing a friend along, and she will "NOT" fly. I've driven to Florida many times, and the drive doesn't bother me at all!!!

Along those same lines, next year we have decided to take amtrak New York Penn Station to Orlando with a viewliner "bedroom." It's more on the order of a closet, but it'll make an average stateroom on the Magic seem like a palace...

Thanks for such an entertaining trip report. I haven't laughed that hard since reading a Kevin Stringer report.

Did you ever find out what the orange stuff was on your potato?

Can't wait to read the rest of your reports. Glad you arrived safely.

I'll second that! I haven't laughed so hard since reading Kevin's trip reports. I can't wait to read the rest.
