My DS's rash guard shirt was forgotten in the bottom of the pool bag for 2 days and now has what appears to be mold or mildew stains. Does anyone have any suggestions? When I looked online I found ideas using a non-chlorine oxygen bleach- it hasn't worked. The shirt is light green so straight bleach won't be an option. Any other ideas?

This is an oldie hint but a goodie! Soak the mold or mildewed clothes in milk over night and wash. It usually gets them out. It can be repeated if needed just don't dry the item after washing, put it in the milk again.

did you try power washing it? that worked on some of my clothes that were really badly stained. spray some mean green first.

Thanks- does it have to be whole milk or will skim work? Just asking because you said "oldie"! ;)

What is "mean green"? Haven't heard of it.

Thanks- keep 'em coming!

mean green is just a multi-purpose cleaner you can find at dollar stores- i get mine at dollar general, a big gallon jug for $5 its like kaboom or awesome -i use the mean green for everything..sinks,clothes,spots on carpets, you name it and it cleans it.
