Reminder: WDW Unwrapped Tonight

Thanks, for the heads up. I heard about this last week but of course forgot about it. I have to set the VCR.

In case others are just seeing this for the first time, here is a quote I saved for my own info, just in case I miss tonight... BTW, the times noted below seem to be Central time? It is on at 9:00 here on the east coast.

Sunday (June 8) the Food Network will be doing a feature on Walt Disney World. The show is called "Unwrapped", and it will go behind the scenes of Disney dining in both the restaurants and the parks. The host, Marc Summers, will talk to guests at the park, chefs, and Disney employees about the food. It will show how the food is created and how Disney food can be fun snacks to anything but ordinary. The first airing will be on June 8 at 10 p.m. and it will reprise on: June 9 at 1 a.m., June 16 at 10 p.m., June 17 at 1 a.m., June 22 at 5 p.m., and finally June 28 at 11 p.m.

My family and I will be ready and sitting in front of the TV at 9:00PM EST. We leave on 6/25 and this is a perfect "teaser" to really get us in the Disney mood. Can't wait.

Thank you thank you! Got the VCR all ready!

thanks for the reminder hope my directv holds up throw the storms

a perfect way to set the mood in our house the excitement is starting to build here for our next visit to WDW and Wonder cruise

We're watching this right now and poor DH wishes we could leave right now.....he doesn't want to wait until September.

I'm watching right now too! How cool is that?

The term "QSL" has just joined my Disney vocabulary!

My friend Lisa and I were the Ice Cream eaters in blue! We happened to be in the right place at the right time last Sept. when they filmed it and were asked to participate in the ice cream segment. We had a blast! we were totally expecting to end up on the cutting room floor, and were pleasantly surprised at the amount of coverage they gave the piece. They even used the bit at the end when Goofy came up behind us and scared us both.

I thought the entire show was wxtremely well done, but what exactly was Marc Summers doing at WDW in Sept. wearing a blue sweater?

Linda

Linda, that is very cool that you and your friend were on the show. :)

I guess Marc didn't get the memo that it is HOT down here. LOL :sunny:

Linda, how cool is that? WOW!! Talk about a memory!!:teeth:

As for the sweater, just another excuse to have more Mickey Bars! ;)

I LOVE all of the food at Disney! I can't wait until October to eat all of the wonderful goodies. We have been so many time, and still haven't tried everything.

New things to try:

1. Turkey Legs
2. Anything from the Boardwalk Bakery

The list will grow as I rewatch the tape from tonights show! :)

I want to renew my vows just so I can get one of those Wedding cakes! :):):)

Great Show! We loved they showed our favorite place - Boardwalk Bakery! It reminded me of the old show "Inside Out", it's a shame they don't run that anymore.

Me too!! In fact, while watching it, I commented that I'm going to have one of those cakes at my next wedding. DS8 looks at me and says "are you and Dad getting divorced??" in all seriousness. I said no, I just want to get married again so I can have one of those cakes. Then I said he could get married at WDW and have one of his own. He didn't care for that idea.;)

Booo hooo, couldn't see it as we don't get that channel, I am soooo dissapointed as we are in the midst of planning our wedding at wdw for Oct 2004......can anyone share more details with this disney bride??

Let's just say that if gays and lesbians are ever able to legally wed, we will be getting hitched at WDW just for the wedding cake. I envy you. Mickey

Those wedding cakes were spectalular!! My DH wants to renew our vows to get one. Our soon to be 14yo DD has her mind set now to have a Disney wedding. I don't want to think of the cost, but DH immediately agreed - so it will happen I'm sure since he'll do anything for his princess.:earsgirl:
We can't wait for our Dec. trip and try Chef Mickey's!!
