I get that Government offices that aren't open on the weekends will take Monday Nov 13th as their holiday and that banks follow the same schedule.
What I don't understand is that my neighbourhood TD bank, which is normally open 7 days a week, will be closed Nov 11, 12 & 13. Why do they get the Sunday off?
I also don't understand why Remembrance Day isn't a nationally recognized holiday, but that's a different issue.
