Tinkerbell2300, aka Stephanie, passed away, 6 years ago, June 30, 2000. Stephanie was the first DIS'er I know of to who have passed away here on the DIS. Seems like we have been losing others right along, as does any real life community. :(

A multi-personalitied DIS'er from the past, moof (whom I know is still around), said it well one year after her passing. I shared it several years in the past and will again this year, maybe a tradition.

Tink mostly posted on the Collector Board, a little on the Community Board, she was missed by all. If you were here, on the DIS back then, you saw something that really meant a lot to those who were here. It showed we really are F A M I L Y here on the DIS.

A word or two from moof, sharing some thoughts on Stephanie....

Remembering A Pin Pal

In Memory of Stephanie, Tinkerbell2300

We Lost Someone We Never Met 4 Years Ago Last Night.

East of Midnight on 6-30-2000 , Mousefan posted the news

that Tink would no longer be able to post on the DIS.

Tink's posts were kind, caring and funny and we feel

unworthy but honored to return one of her best posts

to the DIS. It is from the Legendary DIS Thread

" Strangest thing you've ever seen in WDW ? "

This should be thought of as a celebration of

Steph, that is the spirit in which it is offered.

We feel this post conveys her essence, sense of humor ,

love of Disney and Love of Family. Anyway it is

the way she will always be remembered in our hearts.

So laugh, grin and smile courtesy of Steph's post

from May 24, 2000, at the usual time way

East of Midnite 2:18 am .............

A post from Stephanie.........

This post post is hilarious. I've got three weird things that I've thought of since I began reading this post.

The first, I was getting my picture made with Goofy and Mickey over at MGM.
While my hubby was getting ready to snap the pic, the CM announced I was the last picture to be taken.
All of the 30 people in line behind me groaned and then proceeded to take my picture.
All I could think is somewhere all over the world, I am in lots of different photo albums Oct 98
we stayed at the GF, as we were unloading our luggage this brand new Mercedes pulls up next to us.
The CM comes over with the cart and starts taking Wal-Mart bags out of this guys trunk.
I guess that was their luggage, they had nothing but about 50 WM bags. I guess they spent to much on their car.

When I was with my family in 97 I wanted to ride the Dumbo ride but I didn't
want to ride by myself so I convinced my dad to ride with me. Picture a 50 yr
old dad and his 25 yr old daughter in a Dumbo car, while everyone else on the
ride was kids. You know how you can make Dumbo rise up and drop back down,
Well for some reason our Dumbo didn't like to ride too high. We'd push that little lever
and you could almost hear Dumbo groan, but when we wanted to come down we dropped faster than ToT.
We must have been a sight.

I posted this, almost identical, last year. I went and got it to repost now. As with others who have passed on here on the DIS, I have a hard time adding to it, but do want to remember.

God bless, Steph, rest in peace.

Stephanie passed away about a year before I joined the DIS, but I know she is greatly missed by many on here.

We're still missing you Steph! :grouphug:

I remember Steph and traded pins w/her once upon a time, under my old Dis name. I still have my Tinkerbell pin, which many of us purchased in Steph's memory. It's one I will never trade. Steph is def. missed! Thanks for keeping her memory alive here on the boards, Dan!

Warmly,
Daxx's Wife and family

Aw Dan. That's lovely and I remember her so well. Thanks so much for always remembering and creating these lovely retrospectives. :)

:grouphug: These threads are are always bittersweet. I think it's wonderful that these fantastic people are remembered each year! :grouphug:

Rest in Peace Stephanie.

Dan , I can't believe it has been six years since Steph passed. We did chat on the Collector's board- which was very active back then. Thank you for remembering her, and thank you for helping us to remember her too. Caroline
