Remembering the Bud Van

The old timers here will remember how the Buds on this board envisioned a Bud Bus, traveling across North America (and now we would need to put plantoons on it to include Hawaii ) visiting all the Buds who frequent this F/G board. We would have garden parties at each others houses and wear sun hats and drink.... what was that drink? I don't remember. Anyway, we would check out each others gardens and yards and ooh and ahh and encourage one another.

Wish that were to be true.......

Since that is not about to happen any time soon, how about a Bud Cruise? You guys are all Disney fans. If anyone is planning a Disney cruise in the future (I highly recommend them) perhaps you might consider the Special Western Cruise setting sail on October 14, 2006. Lots of DIS'ers will already be on it.

Hope I'm not thought presumptious to suggest this just because I am going on this cruise that any of you may decide to go too but I figure why not throw it out there just in case someone is thinking of cruising two years from now. This cruise will visit Cozumel, Costa Maya and will be visiting Castaway Cay TWO times!!!

And at that time of year WDW has it's Flower and Garden show. Ooops, mea culpa. The F/G show is in the Spring. WDW will be hosting the Food and Wine Festival.

Hint, Hint, Hint I take it Tuli is taking a cruise in 2006.

Sorry to say I will not be able to do a western cruise. I will be cruising in the spring of 2006 though. I will be taking a 15 day Rhine and Danube River Cruise. From Amsterdam to Budapest. There's only enough money for one cruise.

A Bud Cruise is a great idea though, visiting all those tropical gardens with Bud Friends.

A Bud cruise ahhh that would be a cruise to remember.

The Bud Van would be a trip. Sipping pina coladas,wearing my favorite straw hat & tibbling key lime cookies. Stopping at every Buds garden at just the right time to see all of their flowers in full bloom.

A boatload of Buds wearing their prettiest garden hats, sipping watermelon martinis, exchanging hints, tips, and pics, of their most co-operative plants (and grunt men...lol), oohing and ahhing over the exotic flowers on the various ports of call.......sounds wonderful to me, Rosemary!!

Even a busload of Buds, choaking back the diesel fumes....sounds like fun!

We still have to decide whether to re-book the cruise we missed out on in Sept. If we do, it needs to be a cruise taken before the end of Oct. /05. Having said that, you just never know Rosemary.

Ah! Money, the one item we all wish we had more of. If only it really did grow on trees!! (of course, with my black thumb this season, I would definitely still be broke!!! )

Mamu - Your Rhine and Danube River Cruise sounds Fabulous! If I could, I would join YOUR cruise versus the Cruisetoberfest 2006 cruise!

College teacher here, October is school.

I love the idea of getting together. Flower and Garden Festival at Epcot may also be a good gathering place.
