I haven't been able to visit the DL board as much as I'd like to, and it's so nice to see it humming along, and with all you talented & knowledgeable DISers.

Yes I first noticed it a couple of weeks ago when I hadn't been on for about two days and the boards were flooded and there were threads that had gone unanswered because so many new ones and ppl responding to old ones had pushed the others to the bottom. Lots of bumps that day. I like this much better, now I can waste more time doing nothing

I usually go to WDW because my sister lives in Florida (then I can kill 1 sister and 1 mouse with one stone!). But this year we won't be able to make it there, so we decided to take the kids to DL instead and came over here to ask a few questions.

But I really have to say I may need to switch to DL permanently and hang out on this thread! You guys are so nice & friendly. No one seems to fight over here (at least not that I've seen). I think you could start a riot on the WDW boards just by mentioning refillable mugs!

Maybe it's just that most of the people over here are West Coaster's and we are a little more laid back?? Anyway just wanted to let you guys know how nice everyone here seems.

Sam, welcome aboard. We are a thread hijackin' crowd and always very friendly. I haven't witnessed any fights here but there is a stalker hanging around. Ye be warned.

I agree with you about the WDW boards. I've peeked in on those and I got scared.

Everyone here LOVES DL!!!!!! We all have a ton of knowledge and we appreciate eachother's different viewpoints. I think that is the biggest difference. Plus it's a smaller community so we get to know eachother.

I love all you DL DISSERS!!!!!

Yes we are a nice crowd here on the west coast. I think it's so fun on the DL boards, because it's small enough to get to know and really recognize poster's names...BUT beware of the stalkers. Tee! Hee! Was going to jump on board of the other thread...the huge one started by AZMickeyfans, otherwise known as Shawna the Stalker, but didn't even know where to begin . So I decided to get on board here. Everybody is soooo much fun and nice. My husband thinks every one is nuts. Oh well...I guess we are. Anyways, welcome to the DL DIS and into the "In crowd!!"

We have no topic over on the huge thread. Everyone jump in at anytime. It has become the official DL chat thread there. After the first few pages it looses all focus and becomes crazy. We call ourselves the Insane Hyenas and we want to welcome anyone!

Hi everyone. I'm a new oldie. Or maybe that should be an old newbie. Anyway, I'm definitely not new to the DIS. I've been hanging out here for years, and I was even a mod on the WDW Restaurants board for a few years. I am, however, brand new to the DL boards. I haven't even been to DL yet

I've spent my entire 40 something years in the eastern half of the country and have visited WDW more than a dozen times. Then last September DH got a great job offer in San Diego. Moving to California sounded great to us since we always felt like we'd fit in here anyway. We were right about that, by the way. We absolutely love being Californians.

The one thing I was worried about was not getting to visit WDW as much. I still worry about that, especially after missing Mousefest this year. On the other hand, I've always wanted to visit DL, and now I'll be able to do so often. In fact, once we get settled into our new home, we should be able to visit DL much more often than we were able to visit WDW.

When I first found out we'd be moving, I came over here to check out the DL boards. I have to say I was a bit disappointed to see the slow amount of traffic. I was, however, very pleased to see how relaxed and friendly everything is over here. To quote Shawna, I love the DL DISers! You're a great group, and I'm excited about getting to know you all better. Now that the posts are picking up, I'm even more excited.
