Reloadable Credit Card

Ok I live in Florida and I am looking to get a reloadable Visa/Mastercard. I want to be able to check the balance and reload it. Anyone gotten one that they like. What are the fee like?

My older son has one from Walmart that he uses, Walmart Visa I think. He likes it because Walmart is so widespread..

Thanks so much for the info so far. I went to the link that dex08 gave me and it asks for SS# Do they all ask for that. I don't want to do that over the internet. The card is for my daughter. She has been getting all her stuff ready for the JBF Sale and she wanted to put the money she made on a card (It turned out to be an incentive because she wants the cool factor of the card and has worked hard tagging and pricing everything.)

Also I thought it would be nice to have one for the internet. My older son is always wanting a monthly game on the internet which he gives me the money for but gets charged to my card every month.

I like the AAA card. It costs 4.95 to purchase but you can reload it 20plus times for free!

I second the Walmart card (for non-AAA members)

Besides having the ability to reload it at any WM, you can also do reloads at any "Green Dot" location, which includes just about every chain grocery/drug store in the U.S. Of course, there are fees, involved (I think the WM fees are lower than the rest).

Here's a tip -- if you are using it for a vacation, you can not use this type card at any card reader attached to a gas pump.

Also, if you use the WM card at a restaurant make sure you have the total plus 15% on the card or it will not go through at all. That happened to me at Cape May last year and it was really embarrassing. I was going to pay half with my WM Visa card (which was a gift) and the rest in cash. It wouldn't work at all. They put a % extra for all gas pumps, restaurants and hotels. Merchandise they don't do this for.

i'm told by someone that they had trouble using this type of card for travel related expenses (hotel, rent car, airlines). Security issue ?

Hi, I havent used one, but I did see an ad in this week's Walgreens. I tried to find the sale online (it was $5 to activate) but no luck
