just wondering if anyone owns the Relive The Magic DVD sets? i just bought them off the site and was anxious to know what people thought about the set (should have asked before i bought but the DVDs got the best of me lol)
but they had a sale going on to own all the sets for $59 so i took them up on it haha :woohoo:

I just recently bought them and most of the footage is shaky and dark. Our own home videos are way better than that! They are good about refunding your money, though. If they haven't shipped it out yet, you might want to just cancel it. There's alot of footage of people in lines, etc. It's like watching someone elses bad video footage.

I don't own them myself, but the general feeling here on the DIS is there not worth it. For the reasons terryfromhawaii.

Well for $59, I don't think you will be horribly disappointed. Some footage is better than others.

I purchased them and was really disappointed. They moved too fast (I was getting dizzy watching) and some DVD's didn't work. I sent them back for a refund. I think at the time I bought them, they were over $100.

I enjoyed the WDW RTM set well enough that I've also ordered (on sale) the Disneyland set. Granted, it's amateur video, sometimes not level and often moving too fast -- but it's a good reminder of some things, and will mean we'll need to take less ride video of our own! The set also included a few things I haven't seen and might not ever see otherwise. It was worth what I paid for it (a couple of discs wouldn't play on my DVD player, but they're fine on my DD's laptop). And I think after watching it, I may actually work up to going on Test Track next trip! I also have a disneytreasures dvd set, that covers some old stuff as well (like Capt. EO) -- it's also kind of fun to have. Neither one is professional disney videography, but they cover a lot more than you see any Disney, or Travel Channel, or History Channel shows. (And sometimes, you have to engage your imagination! -- but isn't that what Disney's all about!!!).

Try a different DVD player and/or a computer with a DVD drive player.

If they are cheap, then OKish!. Very shaky as someone has posted, my own footage much better. Has this guy never heard of editing!!

Some better than others but only watchable in small doses as some footage gave me a headache!! who wants to see the back of someones head as they wait in a queue for a ride?

I paid $49, so here in the UK that was under £30 which is fair. He has put a lot of effort into producing these discs and marketing them but needs to spend time on production.
