amloveaffair (Sam) and ktbutterfly (name?) were arguing points last night. Shelby stepped up to the plate, though, and is somewhat in the middle. (Read through the past couple pages)

i didnt have much to say about religion in the argument, cause ktbutterfly and i never really agree on that.

i was irritated by the way the argument was getting petty though. they went from debating to just being rude. thats why i said something.

Honey, I am Catholic and it don't bother me one bit. I feel that this country we live in was set of for us all to have different beliefs. That is what makes this country what it is.

I stated my opinion as did everyone else. I was just misinterpreted.

And Shelby, I'm not acting like I'm all wise. I stated age as a generalization and I still acknowledged the fact [in later posts] that I didn't call out any one specific here or anywhere. I never said I was wise or that I know everything. I don't and I am aware of that. I said I was done arguing and backed off, yet it gets brought up again. I don't dislike anyone here nor would I like anyone to dislike me.

Athiests that I know say that science has proven that God did not do all that the Bible claims He did, so no God exists. They base their beliefs on science.

Haah. Yeah. Tell them to find you the exact reports that say that.
That's crap. Science hasn't proven the big bang or evolution any further than they have proven creationism and God and the things He did.

I wasn't calling her dumb. I was saying it was dumb that she was playing devil's advocate over such a subject.

if you were as wise as your pretentious attitude in your posts would suggest, you would know that turning from seventeen to eighteen (and eighteen to nineteen and nineteen to twenty) doesnt completely change your whole outlook on life.

if you dont think one person should tell someone whats right and whats wrong, you should practice what you preach and stop acting like youre levels and levels above everyone here and looking down on them for being religiously aware at their age.

Thanks for this post. (And for the post after it. I forgot to quote it.) Sorry if anyone saw/sees me as being rude in this thread. It's very hard to convey tone on a message board and I'm sorry if I offended anyone. I really am.

I'm just very... secure with my beliefs. And I hope I haven't made myself seem really mean or hardcore 'You're going to hell'. Because, i'm not.

And... if you have any specific questions about my religion... you could PM them to me. I'd be happy to answer them. =]

Sometimes. Usually when something is said that upsets me or makes me a bit irritated I'll think about it and say something. I generally speak my mind and usually it makes no sense. I felt like everyone was ganging up on my last night/this morning so I may have sounded rude. I was just trying to defend myself.

Let me state again, I don't dislike anyone nor do I want anyone to dislike me.

Christianity is a religion of believers who believe the Jesus Christ had a ministry and his ministry was fullfilled by God and that he dies for all of our sins on the cross. There are many different views and churches of Christianity including the biggest ones Catholics and Prostestants.
