Reliable ground transportation to/from MCO

I've finally booked my flight and reserved my hotel for mid-July.

I am not driving while down there, but looking to take reliable transportation that won't break the bank. I've done searches on Expedia, TripAdvisor, and Google -- you can take your chances with a cheaper service like SuperShuttle (mixed reviews) or go with a more pricier but more reliable and better-reviewed service like Skippy Transportation.

Anyone else care to weigh in?

Tony Hinds is highly recommended on this forum. I think he charges $100 round trip with a grocery stop. I drive down so I've never used him. There are several threads going with high praises for his service. Do a search.

We have used both Happy Limo and FLTours and had good experiences with both. The DIS recommends FLTours.

We just grab a cab at the airport and then did uber on the return (only uber black can pick up from the airport). I've never had a bad experience with he cabs or uber.

I used Tony $70 from MCO to WBC that would be the same price as the uber from MCO. I dont take taxis if it can be helped i feel they rip off guests.

For my itinerary, I just plan on going from MCO straight to a hotel next to Universal Studios (not part of their on-site resorts). I'm going to stay around that area while visiting the park, then go back to MCO when I fly back.

Definitely Tony Hinds.

I know so many people who have used him and are extremely happy with service he provides. Very dependable and trustworthy.

Uber or Lyft.
I did the semi legit Uber pick up at the onsite Hyatt at MCO but it's not everyone's cup of tea. It did cost $36 (on the way back it was only $16- time of day was likely the discrepancy).

I just reserved with Tony.

His quote for me was $90. Do I split the tip between the pickup and return?

We used tuxedo ride, rated very highly on TA. Expensive though.

Super shuttle are Universals preferred provider but their reviews are dreadful.

We just reserved Tony 2 days ago for the first time. Question on tipping. We are 2 adults and 2 children ages 10 & 8. We don't need a car seat. For luggage we'll have 1 large suitcase and 2 carry ons. The cost for round trip is $100 so what formula is used for tipping each way?

Also what type of vehicle does Tony use for pick up?

TIA!

Just a note that UberX is now legitimately available and runs about $27-30 to Universal from MCO.

That's cool, as of what day? I was there only July 1st and they didn't have it available but I had read it was coming.
