:cheer2: Hi All!

My family is going for 8 nights in Sept. My DH says he wants me to plan some "relaxing stuff" for this trip.(our 4th). Any ideas? Are the water parks relaxing?

We are going to try and take it easier this time also. DH wants atleast one day to just hang around the resort and enjoy the quiet pool. We are staying at POR so there is alot to do there. We are also going to water park for atleast one day. Depends what your idea of relaxing is. I would ask him what is his idea of relaxing. It may not be the same as yours.

We have been to the World many times and I have to say that our day at the waterpark each visit is one of our most relaxing and favorite days!

You can go your own pace without worrying about parades, fast passes, ADR's, etc. We LOVE our waterpark days! I always try to plan it in the middle of our trip to help "chill us out" a bit from the go, go, go feeling of the parks.

We love the water parks although I'm not sure I'd classify it as relaxing since at the end of the day we are totally wiped out. But it is fun and unstructured...so in that respect, it is relaxing. We always plan at least one day per trip for the water parks.

not having to go anywhere...
So in terms of WDW, he would say not having to do the "planes, trains, & automobiles" to get places , sleeping in, and laying by the pool, swimming, sunning, etc. Second to that would be golf. third would be water parks. So I agree--get him to define "relaxing". Maybe for us DWs & DMs it would be shopping??

I agree with your DH..we have been to DW many times so we like downtime too! I do find the waterparks relaxing. Our dks are 10 and 13 so we do lots together but also hang around the BB training camp area and supervise them while they play. With very small ones you would have to constantly be right with them. The lazy river is very relaxing. We also take at least one day to enjoy the resort too without going anywhere other than DD for dinner.

If you are looking for a relaxing place @ DW, its NOT the parks! the most relaxing place is probably the spa resorts. DW is not hte place to go if u r looking 2 relax, thats why we love it so much!!!
