Relaxing attractions in Orlando and the area

Hi!
We are staying in Orlando for two weeks in January.
We are planning on spending most of our time in theme parks, but during Martin Luther King weekend we want to avoid the parks and do something relaxing for two or three days.
The farthest we want to drive from Orlando for this is two hours. We want something like a lakeside cabin or something similar, and don't really know the area.
Was wondering if any of you might have an idea for something like that?

there are a bunch of lakes around Orlando - there is a county called Lake county

don't know about cabins - might be some in the state parks

they do have bed and breakfast.

This past summer, we did a delightful mini stay in Clearwater Beach. We stayed in a suite with mini kitchette in a family run place called called Sea Captain Reort on the Bay that I just loved. It was right across the street from the beach, an easy walk to the Marina and a few resturants, and practically next to the various boats that go out to do Dolphin watching, etc. We enjoyed sitting out on the common area balconies at the resort and their pier, using their pool, and took advantage of the beach and large pier across the street (love that beach), did a little mansion/dolphin tour, and went to the little Clearwater Marine Aquarium (quite a popular place now after the movie about the Dolphin, Winter, who stays there). Clearwater beach is just about two hours from Orlando.

Anyway, just wanted to mention this as a possible option for you. I was thrilled with our mini stay and would go there again in a heartbeat. Usually we just do a day trip to Clearwater beach from Orlando and boy was having a little extra time and doing a mini stay here a real treat.

The beach / ocean will probably be too cool to take full advantage of in January, but if the aquarium and a little dolphin boat tour sound appealing, it might be a decent option.
