Related to anyone famous?

On my mom's side I am related to both Betsy Ross and Patirck Henry as well as General George Custer.

On my dad's side I am related the the Wright Brothers.

Edgar Allan Poe is my great, great, great, great uncle on my mom's side.

My acting friend from college is the voice of Louis the Frog (The Princess and the Frog) and I sat next to Sugar Ray Leonard at the Ringling Brothers circus when I was like 8.

My DH's Grandfather was Richard Yardumian, the music composer.. DH's Aunt Miryam wrote the Golden Book "The Happy Man and his Dump Truck".

That's all I got!

It's not a person I'm related to. But my maiden name is Foster. My Great Grandfather and his wife took a trip to England to research our history(he has been working on it FOR YEARS which brought him there). Turns out that MY FOSTERS are supposedly the ones who started the Foster's beer company. It was apparently originally a wine company. Some Aussie bought them out and that's what we as Foster's today!

He also found out on that same trip that we are however many great family members down from the crazy King Louie that chopped all of his wives heads off!:lmao:!

Randy Travis used to cut my grandmother's grass when he was young. I taught the child of pretty well known Good Morning America anchor/news correspondant. Also taught the child of one of the Housewive's of DC. Can't wait for that show to come out because this lady is crazy! My college roommate's brother-in-law is one of the Hootie and the Blowfish. But I'm not really related to anyone famous.

I am not related but my sister's ex brother-in-law has a baby with Tommy Hilfiger's niece. Not sure if they ever got married:confused3

My uncle (Mother's brother) played lead guitar for Bill Haley on original recordings including "Rock Around The Clock". His guitar is in the rock and roll hall of fame.

We're related to Grace Kelly, paternal grandmother's side. On my maternal great grandmother's side we have a male ballet dancer, supposedly he was the first in the USA. I know we have a lord on that same side of the family but I've never found any information on him. Also my mom traced back my paternal grandmother's family home in England. It is still there today and when they went (mom & dad visited England several times when I was younger) they went to the home, the lady who lived there was an amateur archeologist and said she found items near a wall on the property that dated back to the Battle of Hastings--I think that was around 1066. My dad has the family crest or colors hanging in his living room.

My brother has an ancestor who was with Jean LaFitte. I believe he was known as cutnose.

Hubby has a buddy who is related to Charles Lindberg. From what I understand he is the only one in the family to still fly. Another friend of his is one of the Bayer family.

Um, my cousin's kid was a baker's assistant on a episode of Food Network Challenge not all that long ago. Does that count?

I'm 9th cousins twice removed from Walt Disney :) according to Ancestry.com

My 25th great grandfather is Geoffrey Chaucer, again, according to Ancestry.com

and assorted other long ago persons of interest!

I'm not.

But DH is related, on his mother's side, to Major Simon Willard who played a big part in colonizing America. And the Willard who was a famous clockmaker, with clocks in the Whitehouse. And Jonathan Willard who was burned as a witch at the Salem witch trials.

And on his father's side, a distant relative was the head pastry chef on the Titanic

I am related to Jessie James on my dad's side and Ben Franklin on my mom's.

I read this on another board and thought it was fun!

I personally am not related to anyone well-known.

My professor's nephew is the drummer of The Killers.

My 5th grade student teacher played for the Minnesota Moose.

Jesse Ventura was a football coach at my high school when I was a sophomore. He was also governor of MN at the time.

Champlain Park, I see ;)

I’m supposedly related to Lewis (of Lewis and Clark) and a captain of the U.S.S. Constitution. :cool1:

Which captain? Because I am related to Meriwether Lewis and Isaac Hull - from the USS Constitution. We must be related ;)

DH is related to Justin Timberlake and Herbert Hoover (I think it was). Distantly.

DH's family is good friends with the Mauer's - Joe Mauer is an MVP from the Twins. Great family.

He is also acquanitences with Matt Birk, who was the Mn Vikings center for a long time...with the Ravens, now.

He went to school with Josh Hartnett, too..

I am related to Adam and Eve, supposedly.

I think I am also related to Noah: I like boats, and everytime I go to the zoo I have an urge to load up the animals into my fishing boat.
