Rejected Offers Thread

So while I think countering at higher than list price is ridiculous, I actually think it’s still more reasonable than just not replying at all. They’ve told you that they aren’t getting anywhere near market prices and you’re best to move on to other options.

They are asking you to pay nearly BLT prices for SSR points, good luck with that!
From when I originally started looking last February it seems that SSR prices are closing the gap price wise with BLT.

Here is an example from today. These are all the sales excluding foreclosures or other .70 deed tax transactions.

BLT-$132.50

SSR $107, 108 and 115.

In February/March last year if I recall correctly the price difference was close to $40.

After 33 rejections going back to March, my patience has finally paid off. All my offers were $80 pp or below. Initially, I targeted stripped contracts and as many on here informed me, sellers of stripped contracts were just not receptive to low offers as they valued their contracts more than I did. So I switched my focus to loaded contracts and finally one seller and I saw eye to eye. Now hopefully Disney doesn't take it.
Congratulations! I saw it on the ROFR feed first and was happy to see your grit paid off with a great deal. You’ve provided a lot of really helpful context for people trying to score value contracts and also maybe helped some understand that not all awesome ROFR deals are illusory just because they didn’t have success negotiating a price down on their first 10-20 tries.

Thanks.

Really interesting stuff there. It’s wild to see all the different contracts for the same resort sorted by price.
That is a pretty slick website!
After I sorted by price per point I could actually feel the addonitis start flowing through my brain.
Ooooh, this is a beautiful site. Whoever built this... impressive!
I agree 110%. I can't believe i only found it recently. where has this been all of our lives. lol

Dont mean to rain on people's parade, but there are a lot of aggregators out there. One of my favorites is dvcsearch.com not as pretty as dvcforless, but when u sign up for alerts, its quick to notify of a new contract for sale.
There's also my favorite that cant be mentioned here that does the remaining points price and dues calculation for you. It has the word dvc and a period in the name.
Yes, i've been using the others for a while now and only learned of this one recently, but it is very pretty, & does everything the others do... So its just new to me. All 3 are VERY helpful for sure!!

I don’t care what the aggregator’s look like I just want the one that has all the listings
They all seem to have everything... unless you're talking about some of the older ones that have been in disarray for years, & not updated whatsoever.? The original one I used to use years ago (the other 3 are much better & updated regularly). Old - https://www.***************.com

New (all good & updated regularly)

This site is also missing listings. I'm unsure why. I'm only looking at CCV. So I know what's available right now. And not all come up on this new search site.
Interesting... how many points is it?

I see 111, 137 and 122 on the 3 main sites. Could be a difference of pending or other default filters.

100 points. Still available. Just checked the broker's site. My first thought was: oh that must of sold. But it hasn't. It's still available--not pending. The site is just not effectively sourcing everything.

For 100 point contracts i see. Not sure why that one is missing one, its the older site (banned one, not the new one)
