The Re-Hitching Ceremony takes place at the Garden Grill restaurant, in the Land Pavilion, at Epcot. Your server acts as the clergy person. They read some fun vows for you to repeat. You have to kiss in front of the whole restaurant, often to the count of 100. You'll receive a special certificate to commemorate the event and a cake. Mickey, Chip and Dale have been known to attend the festivities.

You must request the ceremony when you make your priority seating arrangements at the restaurant. Tell the cast member when you phone that you want to get 're-hitched'. Also when you arrive at the restaurant remind the Staff at the podium. Arrangements can be made by calling 407-WDW-DINE.

I was told that they don't offer the rehitching at the ice cream social only at lunch or dinner. Let me know if that has changed.

I have made a reservation at GG for dinner. When I phoned and said I wanted to re-hitch they said that they can't book it, that I had to just mention it at the podium when I arrive. Am now slightly stressed that it won't happen, it's meant to be a surprise anniversary present for my DH. AHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!

I made reservations today for the social. The lady working with me knew about the rehitching but did not think they did it at the ice cream. She said I'd have to ask when I arrived. Not much help, just wanted to let you guys know the info I got today.

We did the rehitching ceremony at the ice cream social on 7/25. The waiter did a very short thing followed by us each saying I Do. The 100 count kiss and that was it. We did receive a certificate. No cake. Overall I was disappointed as the whole thing took less than a minute. My dh did surprise me with a beautiful saffire and diamond ring so the ceremony really didn't bring me down. We wore matching t-shirts with our wedding picture on them and the saying "Happily Ever After" and our wedding date of July 25, 1992. They were a hit with CM's and other vacationers as well. We also saw another couple wearing the bride and groom ears with 2nd year anniversary stickers on them. One CM at Ice Station Cool had a message for us. It was an anniversary call from Mickey and Minnie. Very cool as we didn't know that they did that. We went to the Hoop Dee Doo for dinner and our anniversary was celebrated by having us get up and dance. We weren't the only couple celebrating our anniversary there, but for some reason we were singled out to dance. All in good fun.
