For those of you have had or are planning a Disney Wedding, what were some of the locations you chose for the Rehersal Dinner?

If you choose a resturant in one of the parks (ie: Dinner in Italy at Epcot), I am assuming people would have to pay admission to the park, correct?? Also, for destination weddings, is it customary to invite all your guests to the Rehersal Dinner or just those participating in the special day? I am assuming for the Ceremony Rehersal you just invite those particpating and then for dinner you would invite anyone else? Would anyone recommend doing something such as dinner show such as the "Spirit of Aloha"?

We're looking at doing Cinderella's Royal table in MK.

We were told everyone attending would have to have valid park admission.

We were also told that it's one of the hardest restraunts to book, even harder with a large group.

All together we make a even 20, so I'm crossing my fingers we can get the ressie.

We just found out that my father-in-law-to-be (hehe!) is planning our rehearsal dinner at the Coral Reef restaurant at the Living Seas! pirate: Yeah, our guests will have to get park admission, but I think the bulk of everyone already has a park ticket for each day of their stay. (Hopefully!)

We're having an intimate wedding, so we don't actually need a rehearsal, but DFIL2B thought we should have a rehearsal dinner for everyone invited. yay!

Yes, if you have your rehearsal dinner at a restaurant inside one of the parks, everyone will have to have an admission ticket.

For at-home weddings, it is customary to invite the bridal party and all out of town guests to the rehearsal dinner. With destination weddings, since everyone is from out of town, it's really up to you. Of course you should always include the entire bridal party. We invited the bridal party, close family, and a few guests that live far away from us that we don't get to see very often. If you want to, you're welcome to include your entire guest list.

I probably wouldn't do a dinner show because I think it might be harder for you to try to mingle around and speak with all the guests since there is a show going on.

We had our rehearsal dinner at 'Ohana at the Polynesian, and everyone absolutely loved it! It was perfect for us, and they are great with handling large groups (we had about 30 or so people at our rehearsal dinner). We wanted a casual atmosphere since the wedding reception was going to be more formal.

i was a custom bride. we had our rehearsal then our parents, us & wedding party went to whispering canyon at the wilderness lodge for our rehearsal dinner, it was so much fun, the food was good & we gave presents. then we had a large welcome dinner the next night for all our 50 guests at rainforest cafe at downtown disney on a private outdoor terrace.

We had our rehearsal dinner at the Italy Isola. It was at 7:00pm until the fireworks ended. We paid the site fee, the bus fee, the park host fee, but the only "admission" we paid was the 12.50 illuminations viewing fee. We didn't pay for Mike or Myself, and we did not have to pay for anyone who used a park ticket that day. I think in the end we had 30 people attend, and we only paid illuminations fees for 18 people. We invited everyone that was there for the wedding, we figured it was only right (90% of the people were in the rehearsal anyway!)

For me, I think it is only right that all of my guests be invited to the rehearsal dinner. Most are from NJ and some from OH and SC, I think it's the least we can do to thank them for travelling so far for the wedding. However, my FMIL and FFIL think only the bridal party, parents, and grandparents should be included in the rehearsal dinner. When they told me this, I asked if they would pay for a dessert party for everyone instead of a rehearsal dinner for a few. They said yes, but we found out last week that a dessert party would actually cost more than a rehearsal dinner at O'Hana. So now, we are inviting all our guests (60) to our rehearsal dinner at O'Hana. However, my FMIL and FFIL still think it isn't right to invited everyone, so we have to call our rehearsal dinner a "welcome dinner" The joys of getting married ;)

Ooo that would be perfect seeing that my family is 100% italian, that would make them happy. :)

We are having our rehearsal dinner at Portabello's Yacht Club. We thought it would be fun place and they have a variety of seating options available to accommodate your group. And the best part is that it is in Downtown Disney so guests can take a bus from their hotel to Downtown Disney and we don't have to arrange transportation.

I would LOVE to have a dessert party as a welcome instead of a rehearsal dinner but I doubt his parents would go for paying for all of it. I can still hope for it until I know for sure! I think the Rainforest Cafe sounded like a very reasonable option!

We are trying to plan our rehearsal dinner at House of Blues. My df family is a huge "music" family and it is something my df and I share a love for also. So, we thought, what better place to have a get together! Has anyone else ever done this or heard of anyone hosting anything here? :cool1:

We are having a rehersal dinner for our closest family and bridla party (like 25-30 people) and later that evening we are doing a welcome party (illuminations dessert party) for everyone invited to the wedding...just another option. Good Luck!

My FMIL is planning our rehearsal dinner at O'hana's (per our request) because we had heard such wonderful things about it on the boards. We just came back from our planning session and our coordinator is going to set up the reservation for us. :Pinkbounc I was sooooooooooooooooo excited about that because my FMIL is not always trustworthy with these types of things. She has messed up my DF's brother's rehearsal dinner. She didn't make the reservations until the day of the rehearsal. Needless to say, I was ecstatic about DFTW making the ressies for us. :thumbsup2
