How have people, especially those having Escape weddings, handled the rehearsal dinner?

I know sometimes the groom's family pays for the rehearsal dinner and I am expecting 13 people to be there before so it will be a chunk of change (the FMIL is talking about paying for the photos, so I would rather her funds go there).

Since everyone will be there and it will be a time for us to meet and talk, is it wrong for us to just go and order a bunch of pizzas?

We are having an Escape Vow Renewal in May 2011 and we are having a 'Welcome Dinner' at 1900 Park Fare which is 'optional' (ie they pay for themselves) and then I am hosting a girly tea at the 'Garden View Tearoom' and my husband is hosting a boys 'Golf and Grub' afternoon for the boys. These are both on the day before the ceremony and that same evening we will all get together at our 2 bed villa at Bay Lake Tower to have hot chocolate, cookies and muffins and watch the MK fireworks. We thought that this combination of events worked well for us as we will not be having a rehersal with the Escape package. The pizzas idea sounds great too!!

We aren't having an Escape wedding but our Rehearsal dinner is at 'Ohana. It's $30 a piece but we liked it because everything is included. I know going in how much it's going to cost. Also, if you get the TIW card you'll get another 20% off!

We're doing Ohana after the wedding (for the reasons you mentioned above) and possibly a character breakfast the next day before people go on their way. And the TIW card is part of the AP? I'm not up on all the cool perks.

TIW is the Tables in Wonderland program you can buy a card (in you are an AP holder) for $125 but it gets you 20% off of meal bills for up to 10 people, this includes any alcoholic beverages. There is an automatic 18% grat added to the bill, but you would have to tip anyway.
