Hi thanks to all that can help in advance. I'm planning a Disney wedding for a friend, she is getting married in Dinsey in Dec. any suggestions for a location for the reheasal dinner? They are invitting all who are attending the wedding possible 100 people. I called Whispering canyon but they can;t do it at dinner thanks Jill

honestly, with that many people, she will probably have to go through DFTW and get a ballroom...none of the restaurants will make an ADR for 100 people

also, it wont have to be a ballroom. you can do a backyard bbq or a party on shipwreck beach. but a restaurant isn't going to be feisable (sp?)

thanks I will try that. It's going to be like having a wedding before the wedding. Jill

shipwreck beach is on the beach at the beachclub resort (wow i said beach a lot lol) its a crashed ship its really cool

oh that's what I thought, who do I contact about havng it thre? Who who cater the dinner thanks Jill

Personally I don't think you can contact anyone because if you are not on the contract you are not authorized to make decisions.

She should contact her wedding planner who can give her ideas and check and see if the location is available. Disney will do the catering as outside catering is not allowed.

She will definitely need to go through her wedding planner as she/you will not be able to make an ADR for 100.

Raglan Road at Downtown Disney has private rooms and events. You can check out their website and see if that is something that appeals to you.

This is correct. She will need to contact her planner.

We are using Bongos at Downtown Disney for our Welcome Dinner of 80 in November. We also contacted Rainforest Cafe, Fulton's, Swan & Dolphin Restaurants and a few other places I can't think of know. All Disney offered us were catered events which was just a bigger endeavor than we wanted to take on. They mentioned the Beach at the Grand, Ft. Wilderness, and the Beach Club. They also suggested Mickey's Backyard BBQ.

My MIL loves the Liberty Tree Tavern (located in MK) so that's where she wants to host our rehearsal dinner. She plans on inviting between 75 and 80 people - bridal party and their families.

This morning I called the Dining Reservation line and asked what their maximum was and they told me if you have 31 or more people you have to call the restaurant directly and talk with them. I called the Liberty Tree and the guy I talked to said they were pretty sure they could do it he just had to verify with his manager. He said they've done large parties before.

If you don't want to book a ballroom or go through a planner I would just call around to the restaurants.

That's a good option if everyone in your party has park admission.

I didn't mean to stike a nerve with some of you and thanks to all who answered kindly. I am not her (authorized planner), I am her TA which is helping her along with her Authorozied planner. I did call the whispering canyon and speak with the chef directly, I can do this even if I'm not a authorized planner, anyone can. they could do it at lunch but not at dinner. I will look into Liberty tree direct, thanks for that info. Thanks to all.
