Is it worth the extra $11 for the deluxe, spiral-bound edition of the new PassPorter? Does it have extras the regular edition doesn't have? They both say 300 pages.

Thanks.

I purchased the deluxe binder and took it on the cruise. I found it too bulky and ordered the new WDW version in just the regular paperback. I also did not use the pockets in the deluxe edition.

Here's a link to the description of the deluxe . IT comes with a binder that has handy pockets for storing receipts, making notes, lists, etc. The binder itself also has easily accessible slots for storing inform. I really like the delulxe - you can buy it once, and then just buy refills for any edition later on as you need them.

My only frustration - we're doing a cruise and a week at Disney - I can't get both passporters to fit into the binder unless I leave out a lot of irrelevant information (other cruise info, etc.) for my particular trip - but I find myself always wanting to refer to it anyway.

The paperback is just the Passporter without any of the planning/storage extras.

I got a deluxe.

I liked being able to take out the "irrelevent" information. I only included information on MY resort and the theme parks I planned on visiting.

I did not find the POCKETS to be useful. But I did outline my trip on them. So much is online now, I just didn't need the actual pockets.

Still I like the binder format and like being able to customize my vaction plans with it.

I just wish the binders would have lined up with any of the hole punches I already had (covey planners). Then I could have added my own information as I wanted.

Anyway... this is one of those to each his own things. Either you want the whole book, or you want to take out the parts you won't use.

Hey it doesn't matter ...you're going on a DIsney cruise!

I am for the deluxe. It is worht the extra day wait for delivery and the few $$ more to have. The pockets are great. My son likes to save flyers and receipts and all kinds of little things like that. The pockets are great for keeping track and notes on each one so I can make our vacation book.

I agree with Pooh, either way you are on a Disney cruise! Have a great time!

I suffer from compulsive planning disorder and I am looking forward to receiving my 3rd passporter (regular edition) I have worn the covers off my other two. Call me nuts  but I like the fact the regular is more compact and I can carry in my purse and everywhere I go. I will carry it from the moment I receive it until my cruise, then on my cruise at every moment and I am still a little attached to it after we arrive home! My disorder compels me to keep a separate folder with all of my ressie info and airline info so I do not have to fold. You have to have the passporter it makes every thing soo easy.

I am totally with you. I have a big file on all the info that I MAY need andI lot I'm sure I won't. Plus I am a planner fnatic and loved the look of the deluxe

Deelee2,

Do you find that the Passporters change a lot from version to version? I have the last edition and was wondering if it was worth it to buy the new one for my cruise next month.

Don't know about the new edition, but I have both a regular and a deluxe and I find that the deluxe is just too bulky, took it on a trip last year and didn't use it. I prefer the standard variety. JMHO :sunny:

I also suffer from CPD! For our first trip to WDW, I found the deluxe edition to be very useful and I actually did use the pockets. Since we plan to back to WDW prior to our cruise, I'm going to do as some others have posted and take out any uneccessary pages to make room for everything. It is a little bulky but I didn't need to carry it everywhere anyway. I would just take out the pockets as needed for any given day at the parks and just put it back in the binder at the end of the day.
