I have a few of my own and I know everyone else does so everyone should add a few! I ate grilled chicken almost everyday for a year. I cannot.. take it anymore! Recipes PLEASE.
Here's how I diet-ized some of my favorite meals.
I love mashed potato's. I cannot eat chicken without them. So what I do is I don't add ANY butter what so ever to the instant mix, and substitute most of the milk with water. You still add some milk 2% and just not as much as the box says. It tastes normal to me.
I recently just did this, last week. Lean beef hamburgers, fat free (or was it low fat? I can't remember) american cheese and I found these diet fries that are done in olive oil and sea salt. Forgot if that was the oil also, but it's the healthy one. But for some reason I think it said olive.
I couldn't find the lite buns so I had to eat a regular one. But all in all you definitely cut down on the fat and calories!
A friend told me how to make chicken cutlettes. Use egg beaters and yes, bread crumbs. Spray pam in the frying pan and add a little bit of I Can't Believe It's Not Butter. Voila. Chicken without the extra fat of frying it in oil.
And one STRANGE, STRANGE thing that I do is try to concoct my own slushies/shakes. One of my favorites (Not everyone will like this) is taking:
1 bar of sugar free real strawberry ice pop
1 can of diet sierra mist or 7up. SM works better.
1 Tsp or Tbp of Lite Cool Whip, depends on whether you're scared or not to use the cool whip.
And as much ice as you want.
One time I added a regular raspberry popsicle to that. I have funky tastes so I don't know if anyone else will actually like that.
