Hi
Sorry if this has already been asked but we live in the uk and I’m trying to register for a Das before we go, I emailed disability’s services but they have replied saying can’t do it till we’re there as werein the uk.
I’ve read that other people have been able to using VPN unfortunately I’m not very technical 😩so haven’t a clue what I’m doing.
Can anyone help please?

Thank you

DAS pre-registration hours for WDW are 7am - 10pm Eastern time (FL).
DAS pre-registration for DL is 9am - 8pm Pacific time (CA).

Whats the benefit to pre registering? Especially if its this big a hassle.

DAS registration has always been a 5 minute (10 Min max) stop just inside Magic Kingdom!
What am i missing?

The benefits of advance registration are 1. Peace of mind, and 2. Two advance selections per day.

IMO, the benefit of the first *can* be great, especially if you’ve ever been denied before, but if you’re pretty confident you’ll be approved, not so much. And to me the benefit of the second is kind of negligible, especially given the hassle if you don’t already have a VPN and aren’t familiar with using one.

From what I've seen reported recently, the VPN workaround doesn't work anymore anyways. I don't live in the UK, so this is all secondhand information I've heard.

I know there are a lot of us who register online in advance but then don't even end up using the DAS Advance Selections for a wide variety of reasons anyway so try not to stress too much about it!

We are in exact the same situation, we live in Belgium.
After mailing disability’s services it was clear to me that using a vpn is not a good option for us. This is a legal issue. I will print the answer I got and register in person and show them the email.

Not quite sure what you mean by “legal issue”.

The answer I received :
“We do not recommend using a VPN. The reason the service is not offered is due to laws put in place by countries that are not the USA that limit the kind of personal information that can be shared online.”

If Disney has blocked VPN access to the DAS pre-registration that could well be the reason why. I believe Europe in particular has some very stringent laws about data sharing online, and business on the receiving end of that data (Disney) must agree to certain standards. Disney may have decided they are unable to meet those requirements with relation to the video chats.

I used a VPN not too long ago to pre register from the UK - it was nice not having to do it in the park & get straight into the grit of things! But I do agree, the preselects are a nice perk but we ended up abandoning a lot of them.

Actually, the only people from Europe I’ve heard of successfully using VPN to register were from the UK
I don’t know if that was also ‘shut down’ or if the UK has different online privacy rules.

Denied a DAS pass?

Can they actually do that?

You can't use VPN from the UK anymore, I'm afraid. I was able to use it in May for our June/July trip last year but when I tried to renew it at the beginning of October for our Oct/Nov 2022 trip I could still get on the site but the ability to sign up for a video chat was blocked and wouldn't connect and so we had to wait until we were physically in our first park to renew it at one of the Guest Experience blue umbrellas.

Little update - we used a VPN last night (in the UK) and it worked fine. I think some services are a bit hit and miss with it though, as our signal was a lot worse this time round than when we used a different VPN service in December

Hi what VPN did you use? I tried last night I could talk via the chat but when it came to doing the video call it would not connect.
