I am going on the Dream 6/15. I'm my first cruise ever and I'm clueless :)

Do I need to pre-register for any of the character meets or are they standby? Other than kids clubs and dining (got those), are there any other activities that I need to register for right away?

Thanks!

I can't speak from personal experience yet, but I have read old personal navigators on Scott's site that say to pick up tickets for the princesses, Anna, and Elsa from a specific place on the ship.

Sounds like crowd control- a good idea. I waited in line for 2.5 hours for my kids for Anna and Elsa back when they were in the Norway pavillion at Epcot- and many people waited much longer. I would not want to waste that kind of time on a cruise!

You do not pre-register (prior to cruising) for the character meets. When you check in for the ship, read the navigator provided and they will tell you where to pick up tickets (such as for Princesses/Frozen) characters. There may be others, again, the navigator will provide the information. For many of the characters, you simply line up at the time designated. There are sites which have published navigators, peruse through them to get an idea of times the characters appear. In general, you will find the characters make numerous appearances so you probably will have ample opportunity (depending upon length of cruise).

Most of the non-princess characters are just first-come, first-served. If you have Anna and Elsa, you will need to pick up free tickets for them at Guest Services after you board, you don't pre-register, and they may have a ticketed princess gathering that doesn't include Anna and Elsa, you would get tickets for this at Guest Services as well after you board.

All of the times for other character meets will be in your daily navigators, most characters have more that 1 meet and great time, except for maybe Capt. Jack, who is only on pirate night now I think.

Recently tickets for the princess meets have been given out at the Port Adventures Desk. Check the Navigator and it will tell you where to pick up tickets.
You should pick up the tickets the day you board.

As other have said, first thing we do when we board is go to the guest services and get the tickets for the princess meet.
There is usually 1 event (princesses meet) that is a ticketed event. For all other character meets you just queue up.

On the recent WBPC there was also a Disney Junior Meet and Greet ticketed event with Jake, Sofia, and Doc McStuffins, so, if interested, be sure to ask about this too at Port Adventures when you sign up for Anna and Elsa.

Tickets are usually gone by 1, so make sure you are registered to be on boat early and you are not coming from a WDW resort when you do not have any say on when the bus picks you up and takes you to port Canaveral....

Ok...picking up tickets is what I was thinking out. Thanks so much for the info! I'll be sure and look out for ticket pick up times and go first thing.

Gone by 1??? We have a 12-12:30 PAT in Copenhagen. Does this mean likely no tickets?

Just an FYI, having a ticket does not necessarily mean a short wait time. We waited about an hour and a half (with a ticket) to see Anna and Elsa and then about that same amount of time for Olaf on the recent WBPC cruise. The ticket got us in to Animator's Palate...then the long line started. I will say, Olaf's autograph was worth the wait.

Wow the tickets are suppose to keep people from waiting. Did you show up at the time listed on your ticket?
