Regis and Kelly's plans...

I know that Regis and Kelly will be filming the first week of December from the Magic Kingdom. Does anyone have or know where I can find information about when/where exactly they film, who they'll have as guests, and the times of their parades? I've been checking their website and can't find anything, yet.

nope you won't see anything on their website since we all *know* that the Christmas parade is on Christmas!!!! Nothing was mentioned last year either.

Don't ask Disney LOL I sent them an email just trying to confirm if it would still be the first wkend in Dec and they said it wasn't official yet and they couldn't tell me and to email them again later. Now this was only a wk ago, don't they get that people have to make plans either to avoid it or get there.

Holy Guacamole Gelman! I didn't know Regis and Kelly would be down there when we're down there. My DH wants to try to meet Regis and of course he had to remind each of us that the WWTBAM is closed.

Basically, Regis and Kelly 'tape' just the Christmas parade stuff. They put them up in the front of Main St., with the Castle as a backdrop. To the best of my knowledge, they don't actually do their show from there since I believe they are only there over the weekend...I arrived 2 days before the taping last Dec and never saw them set up anywhere. Of course, I avoided MK like the plague on Sat morning!!! I was there for the taping on Friday morning, but no Regis or Kelly to be found...there were other groups/people performing and being taped.
I really think that they try to keep that whole 'it's Christmas morning' atmosphere going. That way it doesn't detract from the Christmas morning viewing at home.

I had a SUPER cool CM tell me about Regis and Kelly when I first called to book my trip last May. She said, that last year, Mariah Carey and the cast of American Idol were there! I'm not going to plan my trip around them, but I would really like to see their Christmas parade. She also told me, that their parade includes the special floats and appearances from the other parks all in one at MK.

Do you think this parade will be listed on the parade schedule?

a few years ago they did their Live with Regis and Kelly" every morning at MGM studios (after filming the parade on the weekend) Seems to me that every year in December they do a week at WDW, but I could be wrong! And I would assume the tradition at MGM would continue...

When Regis was still with Kathy Lee we saw them at the Magic Kingdom when they were doing a show. It was in the fall and my mom and I were in a commercial for the Thanksgiving Day Parade. They just grabbed people that were walking by, no big deal. We stood right next to Regis. I don't know if they ever used that shot. I was not impressed with Regis. A little boy was standing in front of him. The boy was probably three or four and when they finished the shot Regis said to one of his staff. "Does he have to keep touching me" He wasn't kidding. The mom and the little boy were not in the next shot. I lost interest in the show after that.

It is not listed on the schedule, it takes all day to tape it. It doesn't come by as a normal parade, they stop and start, film different parts, do retakes, etc.

They did do their show all week at MGM the year of Walt's 100th Birthday Celebration but I don't think they have since then in December. They taped a week last year at MK in May, I was there.
