Regis and Kelly at MK

When we saw Live With Regis and Kelly in December of 2001, they did their show at MGM on New York Street. The first show was live and started at 9:00 am then they taped a show. They did the same thing the next day. I really don't think the crowds were that much larger and by being on New York Street it was out of the way. This was just after 9/11 and the crowds were low anyway.

For years we went to WDW for Mother's Day. Many of those Mother's Days Regis and Kathy/Kelly were there. At those times it was filmed at MGM. We were in at MGM that day of filming. They had the area roped off, at a place where there wasn't any attractions. Now the filming of the Rosie O'Donnel show was a different story. They had Tarzan Live closed the entire time she was there and that's where they did the filming. I'd love to get my mom tickets to the show.

My guess is that it would be right in front of the Castle...since they are promoting the 50th Cinderbration....

OK...booked my room, airfare, Magical Express and mailed my ticket requests...one for each day they are doing a show.....OK...cross my fingers and hope I get lucky....

well, at least it is only for 2 days, originally I was hearing it was going to be for the entire week from Monday to Friday.

Hi All,

I am the one that first heard and posted about them being there, but now i talked to my friend in the department in the know and yes, futher clarification is that they will only be doing 11 & 12.

And the latest is that they will be in front of the castle...so thats what I know, for what it is worth.

Good luck to all of you who want tickets!!! I will post again if I get any more news.

OK....it's 12:30am and I realized that I forgot to put stamps on my self-address stamped envelopes for the tickets....I really need help...


I 've re address the envelopes and I'll mail them first thing tomorrow...

-- Main Street USA was blocked off except for the sidewalks
-- Regis and Kelly had a huge platform at the very end of Main Street toward the castle.

The good news was that the platform and all the equipment was not near the castle and didn't impact anything except the Main Street area.

My advice: stay away from Main Street USA on the R & K day(s) unless you want to watch R & K. The sidewalks were very hard to navigate, especially with a stroller.

Very true, although, if you are in the Magic Kingdom on the R&K days remember that you can always "cut" through the shops as you make your way up or down Main Street. Still will be tough with a stroller or wheelchair though.

They did the parade from a booth near Caseys. If they are taping their talk show, they would need a stage since they have guests. So my guess is they will have to have it on the castle stage.

LOL! i think thats part of his charm though. He's genuinely clueless and I think that makes him even funnier!

BTW, I too didn't think much of Regis until I had the opportunity to meet him. He really is a very personable, gentle man - quite a character, actually!

Sunday May 8 DisneyLand - 9 and 1

Then DisneyWorld:
May 11 - 9 AM live

May 12 - 9 AM Live, and then noon

Not sure if the dates and times were posted.

We had plans to go to MK on the 12th, since the extra hours are on the 13th. Would the 13th be better? Sounds like a mess to me. Anyone have other suggestions?
