On my way into work today I got something embedded in my tire on the parkway. I could hear the clunk, clu clunk as I drove along. Got off at my exit and went to get gas. Thought I might have a flat. All tires looked fine. Went out to inspect the tires about 2 hours and 4 hours later. All still looked fine. Went out to lunch. Still fine, but when I was out I could see that there was something in my front passenger side tire. (It looked like a washer???). Still, tire looks fine. I am planning on having it looked at tomorrow AM at the place where I get my car serviced (just had it the winter oil change on Tuesday). However, I am a little nervous about the drive home. The tire is not soft and seems fine. Can anyone give me a little reassurance? And does this mean I will have to buy a new tire? How much do new SUV tires go for these days? (I don't think I've ever had to buy a tire in my driving life...guess I've been lucky).

Thanks, as always, for any and all help.

Ask them to plug the hole. That usually does the trick!
