regarding purchasing addons

Lets say I was to purchase 50 points I guess its called an add on.
Does this addon incur additional yearly fees?
Does this addon just add to the yearly fees I currently pay?
Does this addon get built into the current ownership or is it a second ownership?
If it gets built into the current ownership does that mean it turns into the same use month?

Are the anual dues the same amount no matter how many points?

you pay annual dues based on the number of pts you own times the rate for the resort you own. so yes.

yes.

built into the current membership - the add-on pts can be pooled with the master contract pts at 11 months if they are for the same home resort or at 7 months if different home resorts.

but the master contract and the add-on can be sold or willed separately.

so they function as one contract (if for the same home resort) but you can sell them separately.

You are correct that when you buy a new contract with the same UY and titled the same way, it will become an add on. However, if someone buys a contract via resale with a different UY, Disney will not change the UY to match the current contract. It will simply become a new membership.

So if you bought a resale with the same resort and same UY would it act exactly the same as an add on from Disney? I haven't closed on my initial purchase and I am already thinking about adding on...ugh!!!

Yes. We bought an add on from Disney and later bought resale all have the same UY as our initial contract. The MS website lists our contracts as 99999999.0, 99999999.1 and 99999999.2.

The only difference in the points is when we can combine them for reservations. The add on direct from Disney was for BLT, my initial home resort, we can use these points at the 11 month mark with our initial home resort. The resale was for AKV and now we have two home resorts. If we want to use all of our points (or any combination of points from BLT and AKV) for one reservation then we have to make a reservation at the 7 month mark.
