Regarding Military Salute Tickets!

My family is looking at going to Disneyland for the first time. My husband is most likely going to be going to the IRR in January. He'll then have a Green ID card and it's on the list of approved for purchasing salute tickets. But then I'm seeing some say you can buy them and others not. If his new green ID card is on the approved Disney list of cards, then it shouldn't be a problem, correct? Either way, right now he has a CAC card and that shouldn't be an issue. Can we go ahead and buy them for 2018 right now?

As long as you have a CAC you should be fine. I have co-workers that have used a civilian CAC and have been able to purchase and use the military salute tickets.
And yes, you can purchase the 2018 tickets now.
