? Regarding Deluxe Pool View Room at PBH

I am curious about something -- Is a deluxe pool view room at PBH the same as a Villa Room? On the website, they describe Garden View, Bay View and Deluxe Pool View rooms (as well as suites, of course). However, I have Kelly Monaghan's book and the rooms at PBH are described as either "deluxe", which are basic rooms and "villa" rooms which are a step up. I'm confused as to what I have reserved and would like to know what to expect.

I have been told by PBH employees that a deluxe and Villa are one in the same speaking of room types. They are the larges "room" you can get without stepping up to a suite and the first suite is the kids suites are 675 sq ft , hospitiality 2300 sq ft two bed conf., portifino suites 1380 sq ft. two bed conf. villa suites 1840 sq ft two bed conf, governors 2760 sq ft for a two bed confirguation, and presidential suites 3220 sq ft fro a two bed conf. I just called my guy at PBH and he tells me the standard room is approx 400 sq ft, and the deluxe (villa) are approx 500 sq ft.

You have got yourself a fine room so don't worry you'll have lots of room to wiggle.LOL Have a great trip

Okay I called my guy back cause I wanted to make sure your getting good info here. I asked whats the difference in the del and villa rooms. He tells me the Villa is where the room is located it's not a room "type" my rooms and your rooms are in the East Villa and they are all pool deluxe pool view rooms. You are not buying a standard room your getting a deluxe with more amenties Ie, sparate tub and shower ect... So anyone staying at the PBH is assigned a Villa room in different wings of the hotels. and the grades of the rooms are standard, deluxe, and suites. Does these help or confuse you more?

No, I didn't request any particular room, because the balcony rooms are smoking rooms and we really don't want smoking rooms. It's really too bad, but I guess I understand why they do that.

Anyway, I didn't request a room because I didn't know what to ask for (if not a balcony room).

Any suggestions?

I thought Portofino was a "non-smoking" hotel???? You mean to tell me that all balcony rooms are smoking rooms? Oh, man....this is a HUGE problem for us! BUMMER!!!

I have not confirmed that with the hotel. Another poster told me that the balcony rooms were smoking rooms. You might want to call the hotel and ask -- I don't want to give you wrong information!!!
