Regarding Deafmedic

Some information has recently been brought to my attention regarding the supposed death of a poster named Deafmedic and her daughters. It appears very likely that the accident never occurred. I have heard this from several independent sources.
I have spoken to the original poster and they are now in agreement that it most likely did not occur. I do want to say the original poster has been very forthcoming with information regarding why they believed it happend and they did obtain the information from what anyone would have believed was a reputable source. I don't believe any fault lies with them.

Yes that is what he is saying. The whole thing is really horrific...for someone to go along with faking their own death and the death of 2 children is sickening at best.

i honestly believe that the person that originally posted here about the death was informed through what was a supposdedly reliable source. i heard about it from the same source they did and the information was from family of the "victims" i know that the people involved have researched what has become known to be a hoax very well, and that this information is accurate

This isn't the first time this has happened and I KNOW it won't be the last. It has happened quite a few times on the grieving boards I belong to.

I'm not sure if it's a matter of "faking" a death or just flat out making up a story. "WHY" the person lied about the death is way more important than who told who what.

It's not the person who cared enough to let people know what they believed to be true who is at fault here. The only ones at fault are the sick individuals who concocted to story in the first place.

This is also not the first time something like this has happened on these boards either. What is it lately? Fake deaths, Fake pregnancies??? Do people need this much drama in their lives?

This thread makes me think of a poster who pulled similar nonsense about a "mysterious death" of a family member and I believe this family member was just an imaginary friend or something. Those of us who were here a while ago may remember this poster. I refuse to even acknowledge this poster anymore yet some on this board love the guy.

This is a very common occurance on internet boards - I've seen it numerous times over the years and that is why I do not get emotionally involved in people I can't meet IRL. Maybe cold but we don't know who is on the other side of the screen and I just have to protect myself.

It's a shame yet another person has taken advantage of good caring people.

Exactly, Sweet angel. Before this turns into something ugly, please keep in mind that the person who originally posted the info about the "deaths" did so under the information provided by the "next of kin" and only posted because they felt the "deceased" deserved a proper good-bye from a community that "it" was a part of. The OP acted in good faith and out of the goodness of their heart. The persons responsible for this heinous hoax are dirt bags and I hope that their sic joke will keep them company wherever they end up.
