? regarding ADHD meds....nosebleeds?

Ds recently started taking 2 pills a day of Focalin. About the same time he started having nosebleeds. One or two every few days.

I have no idea if these two things could be related. Maybe it's just coincidence. Just wondered if anyone else every heard of such a thing as nosebleeds with ADHD meds.

btw-Focalin is a kind of Ritalin.

My ds has been on those meds for awhile and has not had nosebleeds. It would certainly be worth asking the DR. about though as everyone is different.

Hmmm...funny you should mention this..hubby started wellbutrin the other day to quit smoking (it can also be used for ADHD) and he noticed blood in his urine. I looked for side effects of this med. up on the web and it said that it can cause blood in the urine so I am wondering if the same thing can happen to your son?? maybe look on the web also?

Funny, I just posted a thread about my son getting nosebleeds yesterday. But, he's not on any ADHD meds. Post here if you get it figured out. I'm interested in nosebleeds these days.
