Just how cold are they? I would like to stop at the store on our way to the hotel and get things like go gurt and milk for cereal in the morning but I am not so trusting of this resort or fridges in hotels in general. Any feedback would be appreciated.

I would think they would be like any other fridge in a hotel room, not very cold lol. Seems I have always had to turn them up on arrival. We will be at the Regal Sun March 1st and hope our fridge will work ok.

3kids I look forward to your review as I am so hesitant about this place. I did however call and request the tower upon arrival more for safety of our little ones and the pool than the view. I will see if they comply........:confused3

It is goofy and pluto I believe. I however canceled my reservation after dealing with the staff there. The day after I canceled I got a message on facebook from a cyber friend that previously stayed there last week and it was disgusting the pics she had of her kids necks all bitten up from bed bugs. She asked to be moved three times and all three times she was told that she got the room on priceline and they would not move her. Needless to say I was too scared to chance it.

What did the staff do to make you cancel? When did you friends stay there? I'm getting worried that I should cancel. I was booked at Pop Century but a freind couldn't get a room so I decided to cancel Pop and stay with her at Regal Sun Resort. Ughh I hope I didn't make a mistake.

Thanks!!!
Tammy

Tammy she stayed there over last week. The staff left nasty voicemails after I asked about some tripadvisor reviews and having a crib in the room. I would cancel. We ended up going on hotwire typing in disneyworld with our dates and there was a four star one bedroom condo on I drive south. It ended up being the Sheraton Vistana Village which I know of several people that have stayed there and they all rave about it. I got a one bedroom for 69 a night. That would have been the same price I paid for Regal Sun plus their resort fee.
Editing to add I think that she left a review on tripadvisor.

here at regal sun resort now, fridge is cold and huge. it even has small freezer. we are on the 15th floor with beautiful view of downtown disney. we even watched the fireworks tonight from epcot, i can not say enough about this view. hotel room not to bad, beds are two doubles and there is a desk and table. no this is not disney rooms at all, but we only paid 60 bucks a night here. by the way the room was VERY clean on arrival but now after our 3 year old got into some chocolate...well you get the picture. on another note the staff have been tremendous, always trying to help you. downtown disney is literally right beside us. its like less than a football field away. we went to t-rex restaurant and our son had a fit. he was pointing and yapping away saying lookie. meal consisted of a appetizer sample for 20 bucks....well we are at disney lol. well we are off to mk in the morning, weather permitting.

We stayed at the Regal Sun Resort in January - both the room and the fridge in the room were fine - we had reserved through priceline and when we checked in, we had a problem with the latch on the door being broken. I called the front desk and asked them to have someone from maintenance come fix the door latch or to provide us with a new room. We had someone at the door from maintenance in about 5 minutes to fix the latch. And this was after midnight.

Sorry to hear that your friend had such a bad experience. Bedbugs are nasty! :scared1:

I think with the Regal Sun it is hit and miss just judging by the tripadvisor you either love it or hate it. I guess for us the double beds were not ideal either but then again we love our space.
The bed bugs can happen anywhere now a days and are prevalent in warmer climates hence Florida but after seeing those pics of them crawling across the head board it could have been the Ritz and I would have said FORGET IT!
