Regal Palms Tv?

I was on the site for Regal Palms and it said you needed to RENT a tv for 50 per week. Is this true? I know some of you have stayed there recently and I was just curious. We looked at some of the models when were in Fla last week and there were no tv's but we just figured that they were missing because the models were open and they were afriad of theft.

We were at Regal Palms in June in a 4 BR unit (upgraded from a 3 BR). There were TV's in the living room (downstairs) and in the master bedroom (upstairs). These came with the unit. We didn't have to rent them. The only thing I can think of is that they may have additional TV's available to rent for the other bedrooms?

Thanks I could not understand it but read something about it on their website. It was listed with a bunch of additional costs. When I toured the units there were no tvs and I guess I was right in thinking that since the units were unattended that they were protecting against theft.

I wonder what site you are looking at? I was under the impression that they were all fully furnished, meaning a TV too? We rented through a private owner and we had 3 TVs. Hmmmm?

I was on the Regal Palms site. If you look through and I do not remember exactly where it is on the site but there is all this fine print and I saw TV cost was 50.00 per week. There was a ton of other stuff too but that was what stood out to me.

Hi - We just stayed there in June and had three tv's. We rented through a private owner - which I think I would suggest doing - since the reviews have been somewhat mixed on the units. He actually put an extra tv in the downstairs bedroom for us before we arrived and then called to make sure all was ok when we were there.

I personally think that is ridiculous to charge $50 for a tv.

I'm not quite sure what website you're looking at where you would see this information. Here is the official Regal Palms website page that gives info on the townhomes. Under features it lists remote control cable TV. I looked in many other places on the website (including the PDF fact sheet) and I couldn't find anything listed about additional charges for a TV. Perhaps you were on some other site??

It was a different website BUT it was the same Regal Palms. I went through the whole site and saw the Villas and Townhouses we looked at and it was in Fla listed as 6 miles from Disney. Now I need to find it or it will drive me crazy.

We were there May/June one week we rented throuth regal palms, one week private owner. We had Tv both times no charge. But I did see a long list of rental items somewhere and what each charge was. I can not recall if a Tv was listed or not.

OK. I went through my paperwork and found our welcome packet we received upon check-in at Regal Palms. I've copied this directly from their information:

Items Available for Rent:
1. CD Player - $10.00 per week
2. VCR - $30.00 per week
3. BBQ - $40.00 per week
4. Safe - $3.00 per day or $15.00 per week
5. Pool Heat - $20.00 per day/Minimum of 4 days
6. High Chairs - $15.00 per week
7. Stroller - $10.00 per week
8. Crib - $40.00 per week
9. DVD Player - $40.00 per week
10. Late Check Out - $75.00 until 4:00 p.m.

These are the only items for which Regal Palms charges an additional fee. TV's are not listed as they are included in your rate.

We stayed at Regal Palms this past April. We rented from a private owner but still received the keys and checked in at the front desk. Our four bedroom unit had a total of four televisions at no additional costs.

This was mentioned by another poster, but my guess is that fee is for the rental of an additional television for one of the bedrooms that does not currently have one.
