Hi eveyone, (hope I'm putting this ? on the right board)
Hope someone can help answer this...I went ahead and booked HDD for our trip next year. I had so much on my mind that I forgot to ask the nice lady, when they take the dining credits from the MYW dining plan. I gave her my credit card #, and she told me I could pick up my tickets as early as 7 days. Is that when they take off the 2 dining vouchers/per person- when I pick them up from my hotel? I didn't want to use my credit card to pay for my tickets... Hope you can help. Thanks!

I don't know the answer...but I don't think you can avoid the CC charge until you have paid for your dining, or package. You can always call back and ask. I've done it before with far stupider questions. The lines are usually pretty uncrowded in the mid afternoons.

We reserved HDDR way before deciding about the dining plan. As with everyone, we had to reserve it on a credit card. When we went to pick up our tickets (at the concierge desk of your resort), they asked how I wanted to pay for it. I said on the dining plan and the removed the 8 credits (there were 4 of us) right then. I never saw a bill on my credit card for it.

Two weeks ago when I made our ressies the person asked if we were on the dining plan. At this time, no. I gave her my CC number and she said if we change our mind and decide to go with the plan to call back and advise them and they'll take the charge back.

I recently checked my CC statement online and the charges were there. I think I've convince my family that the plan is worth it so I'll have to add that on and let the ADR people know about that.

I think I will call tomorrow morning- just to be on the safe side (and to ease my conscience). I can't remember which Disney 'source/guide' that I read that said something, like- if you cancel less than 48 hours before the show than they bill your card the full amount?? So, maybe they don't bill til then?? I don't know.
Hmmm, I'll give dining another ring tomorrow and then I'll post what they say.
