Refurbishment schedule

Hi all! Newbie here! Not sure if I am posting in the right spot or not! I need some advice from avid DL goers! I went many, many years ago and my husband has never been. We have both been to WDW 20+ times and are anxious to head out to cali! I know that DL tends to attract more locals and they don't post refurbishment schedules as far out as WDW. So my question is: have you seen any trends on when Pirates has gone down for refurbishment over the years? We are going to DL in Sept, everything is booked and ready to go. But, my husband will be so upset if there is no Pirates. I know it's a shot in the dark. TIA for all the feedback

Welcome to the DIS. We have never been to DL only DW so I can't help you there. You will probably have better luck if you post your question on the DisneyLand Forums or the Theme Park forums. Good Luck!

I believe Pirates is closing in May, around 5th I think

We've gone a few times at the beginning of Sept. and pirates has always been open when we went. I will say if you are going at the beginning of the month you may have the Disneyland Half Marathon crowds and Haunted Mansion will be down for the holiday overlay. Also, Sept is one of the hotter months to go to Disneyland.

Actually I think pirates is closing the 9th of May, same day as Blue Bayou closes for refurb, as well. Read that here and on Disneys site, and am glad we'll at least get to ride on the 7th and 8th!

Yep, it's the 9th! We're starting a day early so we can ride it too!
