Does anyone have refurbished Disneyland hotel pictures that they might be able to post? I've looked all over but can't seem to find any.

For those that are DLR experts, are there any rooms that have views of the theme parks? If so, what do I need to ask for? We have stayed at the Contemporary hotel in WDW and love the theme park view. Just wondering if there is something just as fun at the DLR. Thanks for any help!:banana:

I am not an expert, but I can let you know that the Disney hotels do have theme park view rooms. One side of the fully refurbished tower faces downtown Disney, and you can see into Disneyland and DCA, and can get a good view of the fireworks. I know the rooms with the better views are not standard. We booked a view room when we stayed at the DLH and kind of lucked out with the DtD side I guess since I was told by phone that this grade of room would get a pool or DtD view and requests could not be guaranteed.

I know there are more pictures of renovated rooms in some threads on here because I've seen them, but here's all I could find so far:

I have heard there are also rooms with a view in the Magic Tower which is the DLH tower with the check-in lobby, but we have not stayed there.

Both the Grand and Paradise Pier have view rooms for DCA. We have never stayed in either so I can't say what the experience is like.

FWIW, your post confused me because it asked for refurbed DLR pictures which is the Disneyland Resort (hotels, parks and DTD). I think you mean DLH pictures for the Disneyland Hotel. :)

Thank you both. Those pictures definitely clinched it for us. I guess I need to make some reservations now at the DLH. Sorry for the confusion. Any idea what I ask for in order to get a room with a theme park view? Would that be an upper level resort view or an upper level pool view? My AAA travel lady who is not very Disney orientated thought it was a preferred view, but I couldn't find that choice anywhere on line.

Honestly, we have only stayed at DLH once and did get a renovated room. Advice I received and the experience itself suggest that your best bet is to choose a view room, probably the higher the better and request the Dreams Tower. We chose lower resort view and got lucky. You can ask the agent if you can put in a preference for DtD side, doesn't hurt to ask after all, but the telephone agent I spoke with seemed firm that you get a DtD or pool view, and did not offer to note a preference for one or the other. I prepared myself mentally for the idea that we might not get what we want but, hey, it's Disneyland so it would still be fun, and then it was that much nicer when we did get such a great room. Good luck!

I asked the CM this question. He said when you book room only and upgrade you get exactly that. If you book upper level resort view you will be in the Dreams Tower.
On the other hand, if you book a package, it is only considered a request. Meaning resort view can be the DTD, or the pool.
