Does anyone know if Disney will provide refunds for booked cruises?

With the 2022 cruises going on sale later this month, I'd like to book one, but in the event that they end up requiring proof of vaccination or have other requirements that would prevent me from going, I'd look for a refund.

Thanks!

Unless you book a concierge stateroom, you can always get a full refund as long as you cancel by the pay-in-full date.

- Final payment for all non-concierge staterooms on Cruises 1-5 Nights will be due 90 days prior to arrival and cancellation fees will begin at 89 days.
- Final payment for all non-concierge staterooms on Cruises 6 Nights or more will be due 120 days prior to arrival and cancellation fees will begin at 119 days.

Thanks! We're considering a Concierge room. Do they not offer refunds at all for that?
With concierge, they will not refund your deposit. All other money paid follows the same rules as mentioned above, as far as I know (we never sailed concierge, so hopefully someone else can confirm this).

Concierge deposits are non-refundable. They can be transferred to another sailing. The only time a concierge deposit is refunded is when the cruise is canceled by Disney.

No, the only way to get a concierge downpayment refunded is if DCL themselves cancels the entire cruise. However, you can transfer the money to a different cruise (it remains nonrefundable, even if you transfer the funds to a nonconcierge booking). If you're really on the fence and might not cruise DCL at all in the foreseeable future, you shouldn't book concierge. All other cabin types are fully refundable until the paid in full date. Concierge is so popular that they make it nonrefundable to keep it available as possible to people who really plan to cruise.

It's highly likely that proof of vaccination and/or other requirements are going to be required for cruising in 2022.

I honestly wouldn't worry THAT much about it. If they add new requirements that weren't disclosed at the time of booking they'll almost certainly have to offer a refund even if the fare would otherwise be nonrefundable.

That is a pretty big assumption, actually. It might happen, but also might not.

If they make a change that makes a passenger ineligible to board they don't really have a choice.
Yes, but the OP also said "other requirements", and there are a lot of potential Covid-related requirements that wouldn't exclude anyone from boarding. Whole threads have been devoted to "what Covid rules & restrictions I wouldn't cruise with".

Fair enough. The OP said "prevent" which I interpreted as something that would make them ineligible rather than something that would make them choose to not go, but I understand how they may have meant it differently.

To clarify, the vaccination requirement would be the main one preventing us from being able to go.

I would think that depending on when in 22 you are wanting to go the vaccine requirement is going to be more likely than not be in place since that is one of the few ways the CDC says cruises can restart, and not to stat debates, but they have not changed things quickly in the cases of cruises restating, That is not high on their care list.
