Refund?

I just found out last Thursday that I have lost job and since that was the main source of funds for our vacation we don't know if we can go now. I had bought our tickets online through a fan club rate - the five day pass. Is there anyway to get a refund on these if we decide not to go? I'm thinking we may have to put off our trip indefinately.

I don't thing so. On the web site it says, non-refunable. And that the tickets never expire. So, unfortuntely you are pretty much out of luck.
I would however call Universal and talk to them and see what they have to say. Couldn't hurt.

Try selling your tickets on Ebay. The tickets are supposed to be non-transferable, but it is very common to find tickets on Ebay for sale. It is a common pratice.

Sorry to hear about your misfortune. I agree, sell the tickets on eBay. I've sold ours when our plans changed and had no problem.

H ave you already got the tickets or did you choose the pick up tickets at the park?
I agree, if you have the tickets in hand...sell them on ebay.

Thank you all for your responses, but I think I have it all taken care of. I got more severance pay than what I thought I was going to get, so it looks like our trip is still on as planned.

I bought those 5 day tickets online and one of the emails that they sent me confirming the tickets said something about calling Guest Services if "outstanding circumstances" arised and you could not use the tickets. Not sure exactly where I saw it (already back from our trip) but I do remember reading that line. Wouldn't hurt to call them and explain the situation most of the time these companies understand (we changed our airline tickets without a pentalty by explaining why we needed to) Just have to try!
